Well I had this idea kicking around a while. Basically it's going to be a '57 Chevy Bel Air 2 door hardtop that was in mid-restoration when it was just left, most likely in the mid 70's, and has just sat half started for 30+ years. The base will most likely be a old cracked driveway, as suggested by Cranky.

anyway;

The car, as given to me by a member here long ago.

This is how nasty the interior was B)

Spent the afternoon working on interior. Because I'm going with a mid 70's Resto/mod, I deceided scratchbuild a roll bar. Found a '68 Chevelle Bucket seat. Removed the handles, and most of the interior hardware. Went ahead and cut a Floor shifter hole. Removed those odd round forms in the rear corners. Found a custom style steering wheel and a steering column. Not pictured is the dash, which I removed the glove box door from, the knobs, and the guages from, leaving holes of course.

oh yes! I love surgery and transplanted limbs! B)

Well I Guess after the color choice of interior, just call it Frankenstein ;)

Last night I started by priming the interior, then scratchbuilding a bare door, and priming it, then painting the whole mess Mint Green like the steel wheel previously shown, then went to taping and spraying black on the hounds tooth parts. Added a 70's era steering wheel, dug up some random parts and weathered them, and found some transmission linkage and a nice 70's era shifter. added aluminum BMF to the floor to represent sound proofing.

Nice work Nick. Can't wait to see what you do with the body.

Where did that miniature fan belt come from!

Tony

I made that, pretty simple, drew up a label in MS paint then printed that and used seatbelt material for the belt.

Little update, yanked the '57 out of the stripper and scrubbed it off, looks better.Removed the trim, leaving holes, added some dents/ dings, Then I hosed it off in Grey Primer, it'll need another coat, below are mock up pictures.

I had the same problem some time ago. Nick, you have shared too much pictures from your photobucket. We can see these pictures again, the day when you are joined to the photobucket. So if you are joined for example 13.5.2008, we can see the pictures again 13.3.2011, so in next month. Make a new, other photobucket account and you can post all of the coming WIP- and other pictures from there while that other one is in this point. I did that way. And then, both accounts are working again you can post some for example these '57 pics from the "old account", and some other model pictures from "new account". I don't have the same problem anymore, when I'm using two other accounts. :)
