speedy5963 Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Sweet build, I always enjoy viewing your models!
larrygre Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Nice one Lyle. Seems there is a resurgence of interest in mild customs like this, and it's good to see. Love that Orange Mist paint...love it so much I bought a half dozen rattle cans of it..!
carrucha Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Cool mild custom. I really dig the Rader wheels. Good job as usual.
fisherdude5602 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 This is very very cool car. The color looks pretty
Chris C Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Mate, that is beautiful! Even the weird graphics work!! I just got one of these myself. awesome box art, will definately keep that one. May even steal some of your ideas.....
Lyle Willits Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 Lyle, Can I put that on the Galaxie CD Sure,,,,,even though I have no idea what "the galaxie CD" is. I'm rather amazed at the response to this model. I slapped it together in a little more than a week and it has gotten almost 1200 hits and 40 replies. Maybe I should quit spending 2 months building detailed models. Thank you all very much for the comments.

Thank you all very much for the comments. Lyle, Not really a big surprise. You just captured the spirit of the 60's mild custom and presented it so very well! Your model has the 'gotcha' factor that grabs people faster and better than superdetailing can. There's nothing wrong with well-engineered, super-detailed, and painstakingly crafted models, it's just that every once in a while, a simple build captures imaginations like nothing else! Congratulations on demonstrating that concept so well. Cheers!

Thank you all very much for the comments. What I am doing Lyle is collecting Photos of galaxies from all the builder on the boards and making a CD of everyones Galaxies with the name of the builders, And from all the reaction you got on this build you really brought out that real 60s custom feel and look.
Chuck Most Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I love fullsize Fords, but I've never been a fan of the '61. But this one? This one makes me wonder how wrong I've been all this time...
