Well, I finally finished this kit, almost box stock.

Things I did and added:

The tires supplied for the rear were far too wide and the rims slipped right through, I cut about 1/8 inch of rubber from the center if the tread to make them fit under the fenders.

Added scoop and air filters from AMT 66 Nova Pro Street kit

Velocity stacks from parts box

Tail lights from Revell 60 Impala

Photo etched grille from Revell Willys gasser kit

Hope you like it and let me know what you think!

The paint really pops. I like shiny paint. Those taillights are actually '59 Cadillac units that came in the '60 Chevy kit. The frenched license plate is excellent.

This is very nicely understated. Nice mix of flashy sparkly paint with a smooth body. I like this....You can never go wrong with orange paint on a Willy's. I have a number of these kits, only one completed though (orange and orange red two tone...see, orange is a great color on these). My biggest complaint with this kit is the rather high stance of the kit as the kit parts build up...I know Perry's resin has a lowered frame to fix this...but I want to fix it myself before I do any more. Anyway, I like how you did yours.

i wonder how a set of AMT Mickey Thompson's got into a Revell kit?

nice job on the mini truck style rear plate, very cool build ;)

Cool build...cept for the tires.....shouldn't need cutting...:);):D;)

Thanks for the compliments guy! I am not sure what the deal is with the rear tires, they came in the sealed kit, a friend of mine has several of these kits and said he had to buy resin tubs that were made to fit the kit tires...wtf?
