250 Testa Rossa Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 here is a tutorial on Koni shocks. You need either MCW Huggar Orange or Model Master Huggar Orange, and a set of shock absorbers from any kit. Primer the shocks, and then paint them. The results are exact.
250 Testa Rossa Posted March 13, 2011 Author Posted March 13, 2011 soon... I will post pics when they are done... Method developed myself
ChrisPflug Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 (edited) What else is there other than painting a set of kit shocks Hugger orange? Edited March 14, 2011 by ChrisPflug
diymirage Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Yup. Because ALL Koni Shocks are orange... your point being ?
whale392 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Koni Reds, Koni blues (sport), Koni Yellows................yup, all Konis are Orange! Come to think of it, The Koni Reds on the SVO are.........RED!
Scale-Master Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 The orange on my (real) Koni's are a darker orange than the Chevy Orange on my (real) Chevy engine...
Scale-Master Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 And by the way..., It's spelled Hugger Orange, not Huggar. You should only use Huggar Orange on Cameros.
niteowl7710 Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Well, I feel that there may be some misinformation here... Good thing this isn't about Hemi engines...
ChrisPflug Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Race Hemi Orange !!! (And I did try to quietly correct the hugger spelling earlier..... Although a Huggar Orange Camero with Cragers and Konis would be sweet
ChrisPflug Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 If you look closely the shocks are an exact replica of late 60s-early 70s Monroe Monro-Matics First the kit shocks were primed- then painted with a medium blue Dupli Color
Jamez Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Just when I thought things couldn't get more pointless..... Up next, how to convert your Vintage Monro-Matics to Modern Monro-Matics
ChrisPflug Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Easy- the Monro-Matic line was completely replaced by the gas charged Monroe-Matic Plus line years ago. The paint was also changed to a darker, water based blue paint from the brighter metallic shade
whale392 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 <==feels another 'Gremlin' thread spread coming on!
Jon Cole Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Shopping for a Huggar Orange Camero. Or a Hugger Orange Camero. Or a Hugger Orange Camaro. Or a Huggar Orange Camaro. Eh, screw it! Anyone have an orange Gremlin?
Foxer Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Eh, screw it! Anyone have an orange Gremlin? I do. Only problem, it comes with a thread that you can't get rid of!
Harry P. Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Shopping for a Huggar Orange Camero. Or a Hugger Orange Camero. Or a Hugger Orange Camaro. Or a Huggar Orange Camaro. With Cragers?
Blake Rogers Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Guys. The Hugger Orange looks like the red/orange shocks... I saw a pair on a 1967 911R at a friend's shop. looks like red to me.........
