RodneyBad
Thanks STewart. Bit more work. Took a while to figure how I wanted to do the spare tire carrier. THere is also a Wing Nut to hold the tire in place. Still working on the angle and Height I want the carrier to sit.

RodneyBad
Thanks, Guess I'm just having fun with paperclips, 1/8 tubing and a tube bender I figured the tire was carried too high to. Sooo a bit of redo and lowering Not the fastest build going on but I'm trying to stay on track and waiting on some parts.
Bates Offroad
looks great I really like the spare tire carier and the lift.
Nick Winter
Great scratchbuilding as always Rodney, One Question, Does that step-bumper come in that kit? Nick
RodneyBad
Thanks Bates Offroad I wish I made this one 4wd but I'll save that for the next Ford. Yes Nick Winter It is the stock bumper that came in the kit but I just decided I needed more rear Clearance. Wack!! Gotta trim up the rear box corners next. One step at a time and I'll have it done for Christmas Edited April 7, 2011 by Zukiholic

RodneyBad
Just to show I'm not slackin on it. Did some skidplates on the fuel tanks and painted the chassis a bit. Still needs some more paint and what nots but it is progress
RodneyBad
I'd think Ladder bars or Anti Wrap bars would be feasible for the Faux Runner but I put the cheapest lift kit available on it Next one will be better and 4wd
RodneyBad
some of those heavy drilled ladder bars from the horrid AMT AWB kits may work out nicely under this thing and give it a cool look. i like the 2wd, think it's pretty cool Thanks MrZinn. Surprisingly, I found a pair Those will help in protecting the driveline/fueltanks and keep the axle in place Good Idea you had .. Chuck Most
I've bought a couple of those Falcon/Comet/Mustang AWB kits... JUST FOR THOSE TRACTION BARS... I'm seriously considering reworking my 1:1 '94 Ford to resemble your model!
stewart
I love it rodney. Those traction bars are awesome. This is a great all around build. STewart

RodneyBad
Chuck Most is that where they came from? I've had them for Many yrs floating around and no place to go Don't you mean "Glad I thought of that" Rodney!?!? I'd never Knowingly take credit for somebody elsies idea. Chuck Most
My memory isn't too clear, but I do believe those traction bars are from one of those kits, or at least they contain something close to those.
RodneyBad
I couldn't tell ya where the ladderbars came from either. Bit of work and Cam down so I used my cell. Gonna get a better cell too Decided the front suspension didn't look all that well so I revamped it by adding working Coilovers to it. Cut off molded in springs and fabbed up a bottom mount. Now I got some serious Camber And the colors
jedimastergary
Nice i like the new springs they make it look meaner and would be a lot better off road never liked molded springs to me they are always just a hair short for my idea I miss building models need to get job bad so can get my stuff out of storage and start building again. highway
Rodney, a suggestion to eliminate the camber issues, but this would probably only work if you haven't glued the engine together yet, glue a couple small lead fishing sinkers inside the engine block just like aircraft modelers do to keep the nose on the ground. That should give you just enough weight to compress the springs slightly to sit all four flat again.
