crazyjim Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I'm building a '36 Ford convertible and am working on a custome interior with a console. I plan on putting 3 gauges in the console by using 1/8" aluminum tubing for the bezels. Anybody know a way to get gauge detail into the tubing?
Mr. Moparman Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 (edited) You could put a peice of streyne behind the tubes and paint the styrene black to simulate guages. OR Just use these M.A.D Guages they come in a pack of three. Edited March 16, 2011 by Master Modeller
crazyjim Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 Appreciate the info guys. Thank you. I might try the MCM gauges.

Both Detail Master and Model Car Garage sell printed gauge faces, both in classic and modern (digital) styles. DM's are on printed paper while MCG's are printed on clear acetate so you can paint the background in the colors of your choice. Both come with photoetched bezel rings. Here are pics of the MCG classic style offerings: Hope that helps some! Edited March 16, 2011 by larrygre
stewart Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I really like Model Car Garage's gauges. They are printed on clear acetate and are very nice. STewart
crazyjim Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 Thanks Larry. Looks like MCG would be the place.
mikelo Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 A good friend gave me a tip of using the gauge photos from web sites like Jegs and Summit. You can play around to print them in the size you need, then just mount behind a piece of clear acetate. Check it out. Best of all, its free. Mike

crazyjim Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 If it's for free - it's for me. I'll check those websites out. Thanks.
