Rick
Hi Guys, I just finished my first Tamiya kit!! O.k., it's been done for a couple months, but computer problems have prevented me from posting pictures. Using old pictures and my fading memory I tried to re-create my fathers first brand new car. I think I got it pretty close........... Thanks for looking, Rick

Moparlady
Great looking V-dub! If you can recall what your Dad's license plate was, you could make a rear plate the same....or just call it "DAD". Great job!
Rick
Thanks for the kind words! Great looking V-dub! If you can recall what your Dad's license plate was, you could make a rear plate the same....or just call it "DAD". Great job! I thought of that, I have my mom looking for more pictures so maybe I can add that later....... Thanks Again, Rick
MrObsessive
Neat little Beetle!! I like the wearing of the tires......something I usually forget to do on my builds! Gotta try and build mine someday.........

Randy Kern
I love VW Bugs in any version. That is a really nice, clean stock build. I'll bet your father wishes he had his back, too! Great job, Rick.
cruz
When it comes to Volkswagon's there's no better kit out there than the Tamiya, I built mine also and everybody loved it

Randy, your '66 looks just like the model! amazing how quick you can build a real car to look like a model! i think this is going to catch on! just kidding randy. VERY nice build. not a big fan of original VW's but for everything being stock, it looks REAL good.

Billy Kingsley
That looks great. That is so far the only Tamiya kit I've finished too (I started a Porsche 959 that waits for me to get back to it) and it's such a fun kit to build. Looks great in red! Here is the link to mine, in it's own album: http://public.fotki.com/ElCaminoBilly/indi...s/1966vwbeetle/
Rick
Thank You All for the kind words!! I actually had something happen on this project I've never had before. When it was done, I was disappointed that it was finished!! If this is typical of Tamiya kits, I guess I need to buy more of them! I already have plans for at least a couple more of these bugs......... Thanks Again, Rick
