Steve H. Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Is still one of my all-time favorite builds. Built back in 2003, it was one of those projects that everything just fell together. Narrowed 32 frame, Lil' Coffin rear tires, Corvette GS engine, along with odd parts from several other kits. The metal finish was inspired by primer... when I saw the body primered, I thought it might be cool to see if I could replicate a metal body... Flat black base scuffed up, airbrushed with Alclad Steel and Stainless Steel. Interestingly, the finish looks better now after several years of wear and tear. Some of the Alclad has rubbed off, revealing hints of the black base. The engine was yanked from my completed Corvette Grand Sport... My race car friend Bill has never forgiven me for that! rust holes, weld beads, bent license plate, tail light duct taped on...
BIGTRUCK Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Hey thats sharp...the weld bead looks cool...theres nothing not to like on that build...awesome work Steve
mhadman Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 This truck is on my top favorite list of all time.. Steve was nice enough to send me pics of this build awhile ago on request...Perfect build.
cruz Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Very tastefully done, but I agree with your friend about the engine  But I guess sometimes a man's gotta do what he's gotta do 8)
Harry P. Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Nice model, to be sure...but I have a question about your backdrop in the first photo. What is that? The bricks look very realistic. Is it a photo of an actual brick wall?
Guest roadkill2525 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Great build overall, loved the engine and duct taped tail light. What kit is the engine from?
