David@MinidreamsInc. Posted April 22, 2011 Author Posted April 22, 2011 ok here are the pics of the boot and sun visors Heres the boot i had ! it was from an OG 70 kit where it was just cut the roof off even at the top of the trunk and qrts ! SO this the 1 i made ! Just simple bends on the boot and sanding and then the front edge to fill in the gap and you have a great fit !

crazyjim Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Nice work going on there, David. I'm liking those wheels. Are they some kind of Pegasus units?
David@MinidreamsInc. Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 Nice work going on there, David. I'm liking those wheels. Are they some kind of Pegasus units? Jim the wheels are a combo of the Pegasus 1109 tire and trim ring cause the spokes can be removed as it is a 2 piece set up ! What i did here was remove the spokes and added the factory stock 70 impala hub cap in its place and it gives me a differnt look for the wheels vs seeing the same wheel on every build and it fits my lowrider style of builds !
David@MinidreamsInc. Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 Amazing job!! David show us that Chevette, please!! Cesar Bossolani Cesar it will posted up soon ! It's not a current porject on the bench i just tinker with it from tim to time when i feel like working on it !

butchey Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Great job sofar were did yu get the top for conv ?
David@MinidreamsInc. Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 What you think about the REAL CANVUS looking top and boot ? I am happy with it being my frist attempt at it ! Its way cleaner looking in person for some reason but i still might redo it and see if there is a way to achive a better look !Tell me what you guys think !
Foxer Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I like the look of the fabric roof ... the seam especially makes it! If anything, the photos shade some edges along the side windows. No doubt, these look much better in person but some fabric cement applied and pressed down may hid these edges ... hopefully it wouldn't wreck the texture. I might just leave it ... just an off the wall thought.
cruz Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Hard to get that canvas to look to scale but you are doing a great job on it!!!
CorvairJim Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) Something you'll want to look into - The 1:1 1970 Impala convertible used the nearly flat Sport Coupe trunk lid, not the one from the Custom Coupe. Check out the images on these web pages: http://mecum.com/auc...od=051608123500 http://image.nettiauto.com/extra/carimg/3475601_3475700/chevrolet-impala-3475607_b_52d3c27ebd1e065a.jpg No criticism intended, I just thought you'd want to know before you shot the color on it!
