I have been following the postings relating to the Trumpeter ’64 Falcon and I am nervously awaiting my pre-ordered kit. Although I am prepared to be disappointed, I already know how I am going to build it. This ’65 Falcon was built using a Modelhaus body and AMT ’67 Mustang running gear as a replica of my own Falcon I owned a few years back. It had been cloned by the previous owner as a Canadian only Hi-Po 4-speed. I later added front disc brakes, black-walls and Torque-Thrusts. For more photos see

I like this car so much, i have an original, a promo, and TWO resin cast bodies, one from the Modelhaus, AND one from Porkies(now sold by Kenny, overt Bandit Models) and BOTH my resin kits are JUST as nice as the ORIGINAL promo! Don't know about the Trumpeter kit. I'll probably buy one to convert to my Dad's little Falcon Wagon work car. Someone mentioned a Ranchero??? I might wait for that to come out, I'd be easier to convert.:D :D

Looking good. It would be cool to see it side by side with that Thrumpetree one ;)

Actually, that's a good idea. Perhaps a side-by-side comparo would be a very effective at revealing the shortcomings, real or imagined.

Great job on this build.
