Chris C Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Here's a quickie build I did so I'd have something new for a model show. Pretty well box stock, Aoshima Mad Max 2 Interceptor. Painted in several shades of black with a pastel weathering. Reckon it came up pretty good, was a nice change from trying to do glossy paint! Enjoy!
Chris C Posted April 28, 2011 Author Posted April 28, 2011 Thanks, Dave! This version also had a retooled interior with the stripped door panels etc. Not a bad kit, all went together really well.
Boreham Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 (edited) excellent.. model.. man that dust looks dry.. I could do with a drink of water.. Edited April 28, 2011 by Boreham
RancheroSteve Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Very well done! Nice subtle touch on the weathering. I've got one of those I need to build one day.
my80malibu Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Stunning model looks very cool with the weathering and dust
W-409 Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Is that real or model? It looks amazing. Paintjob and weathering are perfect, that dust on it is looking like how it is in 1:1 cars. I like those tires and wheels too. How about the engine pictures? This car is also great, it's just sad that it's hard job to make that thing look like original... Model looks good anyways.
disabled modeler Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Very nice build, I have a rough build up plan on converting into the first movie car(love that one). Great job on yours the weathering looks very realistic!!!
