Mercman Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Here is a build I just finished for a client. I had to repaint the Borden's rig to match our local dairy. His dad drove this rig. What I started with, and a reference pic. Finished build.
sjordan2 Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Nice. Did they change the name to Muhammad Ali Dairy?
charlie8575 Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Nice. Did they change the name to Muhammad Ali Dairy? Nicely done. I didn't even make the connection until you said it. Nice model, too. Charlie Larkin
Danno Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Nice. Did they change the name to Muhammad Ali Dairy? Tooooo funny! Great replica, too!
Lunajammer Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Well done Jr. the colors look exactly right. Be sure you bring it out in public.
Dr. Cranky Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Junior, what a great little addition to your collection. That's a great model. And you've inspired me to work on one, so I ordered one . . . THANK YOU!
Mercman Posted May 1, 2011 Author Posted May 1, 2011 To answer your questions. 1/25th scale, either Danbury or Franklin Mint made this one. Wish I could but it's in anothers possession. It was a job for a client. I may be doing another though for his brother. HAH!!! Imagine that I actually inspired someone. Knowing the Doctor though we'll be in for a surprise on his version of it.
Dr. Cranky Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Thanks, Junior. Actually I went to Amazon.com and punched in Divco diecast and a few came out, including one painted in white, which is the one I got . . . and I'm just going to do some mild things to it, but I can see how it IS a great canvas for paint.

Thanks for the lead Doc. I just might have to check one out for myself. Still can't wait to see what you come up with.
