empinut Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Pooling together all my Manx parts, half built kits and gluebombs to finish off as many as possible. Some will be rolling chassis for others. Bill
Dr. Cranky Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Oh man, you are a Manx maniac. Great little collection. Wonderful models. Now you've got me wanting to build one. Thank you.
Rob Hall Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Neat...looking forward to the reissue, never built this kit. What year did the original issue come out?
Marc @ MPC Motorsports Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Nice! My Jr High Spanish teacher/tennis coach had an orange buggy much like your Manx. Brings back memories.
empinut Posted May 2, 2011 Author Posted May 2, 2011 Thanks for the nice comments! Upgraded brakes are because I ran out of original kit parts for these orphaned chassis units that were in my parts bins. Think the original issue was in 1968. Reissue in '69 or '70? Here is some Manx info: Manx Club link thanks, Bill
george 53 Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Virge, you cain't rusty up a 'glass body bro. You jus gonna dirty it up an put stress cracks in it????
robertw Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I'm also anxiously awaiting the re-issue of this kit. I still have the original kit sitting on my shelf painted in AMT Candy Blue. I built it shortly after the original came out. Its intact and still in pretty good shape but obviously not nearly as well done as I could do today. At one time I thought about taking it apart and rebuilding it but then decided that this is a survivor, one of the few surviving models from my teenage years and I need to keep it as a reminder. robw
