AceofBass Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Hey guys n gals! It's been awhile since I have posted on here, but I'm super proud of how this one turned out. It's a Revell Black Widow kit built as a street car (with a rollcage). Made it look like a used 'survivor'. I think the pitted chrome turned out extremely well. Thanks for looking and enjoy!
bbowser Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Looks cool! The pics are a little hard to see, how did you do the 'pitted chrome'?
RodneyBad Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 great looking survivor Weathering looks good on it. new wheels and tires tho?
AceofBass Posted May 4, 2011 Author Posted May 4, 2011 (edited) Thanks guys!! Pics are from my cell phone (which is better than some digitals), the flash made them a bit weird. The wheels are box stock; still debating on whether or not to put the dogdishes on (at least a couple of 'em), and I guess they need to be weathered more. The pitted chrome was done by lightly spraying some gray paint over the parts. Edited May 4, 2011 by AceofBass
charlie8575 Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Very nice work on that, just the right amount of "slightly used, but not overly abused." Charlie Larkin
stewart Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Great job on the weathering. It looks just right. STewart
Harold Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 great looking survivor Weathering looks good on it. new wheels and tires tho? The originals were weather- checked, rotted and flat when it was found in the barn, so he had to drive into town to buy 4 used tires. I love the weathering on this beast.

Draggon Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Nice job! Using the grey on the chrome bumpers was a good idea, it came out great.
