Space Cowboy Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Got my Safari done so please enjoy..................
charlie8575 Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Came out very nicely, Bruce. I really like the colors on it. Charlie Larkin
RodneyBad Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Dang! that is really cool looking. The Front end with the lil Eyebrows above the headlights is amazing. Watching all the work that went into it is amazing.. Excellent and amazing work.
W-409 Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 This is really great build! When I saw the first WIP pictures, I was thinking, that if I would be the builder, I'd never could get that one finished. But you did it very fastly and nicely! Excellent work on this, Bruce! Great conversion, lots of work done... It looks smooth and it's just like Revell's kit of that car. Paintjob looks very good and I like the colors. Interior is great also, and I like the engine. Detailing looks amazing. Very great build, more of these!
Harold Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Nice work, Bruce (how does he manage to bang out these conversions?).
Jim Gibbons Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 (edited) This is a great conversion; really like the color choice, too. One thing that hit me when I glanced at the 1/43 Safari diecast I have, is you need to add the front fender/door "stars." This is kind of a crummy diecast, but the only game in town so far. I'm adding a picture of my Franklin Mint '55; they accomplish the "stars" with tampo printing. If you'd like, I can try to take a better pic with a ruler for scale if you can print decals, or know someone who can. What the heck; figured I'd add my 1/18 SunStar diecast to this. Needless to say, I have a thing for '55 Pontiacs. Edited May 8, 2011 by Jim Gibbons

Jim Gibbons Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) Bruce, I humbly bow to your great work on this. The "stars" will make it complete. If you can accomplish it with decals, there should also be the V8 script on the rear fenders. I wish I had half of your scratchbuilding skills! Edited May 9, 2011 by Jim Gibbons
Leonidas Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 You don't see many of those these days. Love your work, she's a beaut!
Space Cowboy Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 Here are the new pics with the stars.......................
