Dragracer Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 The paint scheme sounds good Rom!, have a hard time hating/dislikeing anything in Blue!, can't wait to see it at that stage, but still enjoying the WIP.
pharr7226 Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 (edited) Ok I got the fenders widened but I still need a tab bit more room so I cut the body down the center and install a wedge that will give me 2mm more on the sides heres the fender with putty on it Here's the wedge installed now all I have to do is make it all look like its not there. see ya on the next update Rom, I see you like a girl with wide hips. Don't tell you wife I said that. LOL. Edited August 21, 2011 by pharr7226

hOLMS Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Way to go Rom. In making room for your tires, you've managed to add your own style that will be different from any other...that my friend, is just plain cool and what a personal touch is all about. Luv that bodywork, and of course all the rest. I'm almost beside myself waiting for the paint. Seriously, should be incredible.

Dragracer Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I think the only reason I noticed it is because of the engine pics I've been collecting for my builds, planning on detailing the engines as real looking as I can get them, I'll be running sensor lines from the lower engine area (crankcase area),blower, fuel & from the rear-end. To me,if you are going to put all the time into scratch-building,buying detail parts & everything else, it should be as realistic as possible,I know alot of people don't agree with me,but thats them & this is me, it's just the way I like to build & I don't expect everybody to build that way,as has been said before, to each their own & thats the way it should be. It's a great build Rom, & I'm enjoying it very much, planning on using some of your ideas, but in 1/25th.
SuperStockAndy Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Romell...I'd like to drive it when it's done!!
Foxer Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 I don't know why, but I always get sad when I see a brass frame get painted ... but it's been awhile and I'm enjoying seeing the frame in later photos AND the rest of the eye candy of this build!

I needed to solder a rod in the body so that i would have something to install it with once the distrib. was done then once that was done I could solder the body together..... Ok so maybe I skipped a few steps but I can only post 4 pics at a time now here it is before paint for a test fit....whatya think... see ya soon.....
