Mconroy Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Hi, I was looking through my garage today when I came across a 1969 Mustang 428 Cobra Jet Model. I know absolutely nothing about model cars and what they are worth. The box is still in really good shape after 42 years and everything inside looks like it has never been touched. It is a 1/25 scale model kit. Can you help me out? Thanks
Mconroy Posted June 2, 2011 Author Posted June 2, 2011 need a pic ///// more details i cant take a picture because my camera is broken, but i found this link, its the exact same thing http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/instruction_sheetsh/instruction_sheets/revell-6/revell-69-mustang-s/
Monty Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 With all the model knowledge on this forum, I'm surprised you haven't received an answer on this yet. I'd suggest you post this on the Spotlight Hobbies forum. There are several people on there who've worked in the industry and who really know their stuff about models. My link
Casey Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 A completed items search on eBay will give you a good idea for the value, if one has ended in the last two weeks. It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it, but for a ballpark figure I'd say $40 or more.
Jeff Johnston Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 That of the rarer 69 Mustang kits. Its a coupe and I'd say on ebay it't bring more than 40 bucks..I've seen them go for more than that.
Junkman Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I think 40 is a good figure to start with. If you get less, you were shafted, if you get more, you were lucky.
John E. Bowers Jr. Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 I'd chime in with at least a $40.00 estamate. This is one that I've been looking for, and if you'll accept a USPS money order for $45.00 I'm good for it. Let me know.
