Welp, like I've said before Jim, MY hobby lobby ain't worth squat when it comes to new releases! Hope you guys get some thing good from them.:D

Yeah, they put one out every other week that gives 40% off anything. They are only valid for a week. I only go to HL when I have one in hand. I buy all of my newer kits with it.

My HL isn't worth squat for models at anytime, but I thought I'd put out the word in case somebody has a store with a decent selection.

The two HL's I shop at usually have a pretty good selection of kits. It sometimes takes them a while to get in new releases, but it's not like I don't have other kits to work on.

Living in a big city, we have numerous HL's to choose from. They are definitely all different..ranging from a pathetic selection, to a well-stocked and up-to-date (for HL standards) selection. Too bad that each store is at the mercy of their own local management for keeping the shelves stocked..or not. I'm more likely to buy a kit from them from the clearance rack than w/a coupon.

Even better IMHO is the 50% off this week of Excel knives and blades, and all artist's brushes...in sets or singles. Good time to stock up on workbench supplies.

Last week I took advantage of it when I was on vacation with my family in the Orlando parks area and went to the Sanford area and look for their Hobby Lobby and since I hadn't a printer, I took a picture of the coupon on my laptop and could get a Tamiya Lamborghini Countach LP500S for just $23.00!

HI, Has anyone see the reissue of the "black widow" kit at HL? I know it took about 6-8 weeks after the hemi dart was relased to see it in HL stores. It took about another 6 weeks after that when it arrived in Michaels stores. Steve

I agree, our 3 HL have 2 aisles of kits, good selection but have had the same for years, every once and a while they do come out with a few new kits but then like you said, I still have a life time supply of kits so no biggie to me the last thing i need is more kits, however it does help getting 40% off some paints thou, that helps even if you have to go and get one can at a time, it helps in this economy to save all you can.

I think you have asked to see the manager. The coupon clearly states "any one item of regular price". Unless the plastic kits were already on sale. My HL does 30% off plastic models quite often.
