Hey Brad,

I don't get into the Drag section too often, so I just came upon this build. Real nice, man! I love the scratch building. Looking forward to seeing this one this weekend!

Art.... Looking forward to seeing you this weekend as well. Hopefully you will bring the Vette project that I saw at the NNL's in February. Can't wait to see how much more progress you have made with it.

Thanks Ron and Don for your kind comments. They're much appreciated. I'm off of work tomorrow and I'll get this finished before the DSC on Saturday.

... hypodermic tubing and rod ends from R B Motion....

could i ask your source for this tubing? i assume you can get it in reasonable quantity rather than a googled medical supply 1,000 piece order.

thanks

Hey Joe there is a place called Smallparts.com but it now is part of amazon and they have a bunch of different materials. here is a link to the tubing:

they have many different sizes to choose from as well as lengths of tubing. I have been meaning to place an order myself.

Another source for small tubing, stainless or brass... is slot cars tubing

there is another one I was trying to think of but can't find it. Hopefully that gets you headed in the right direction.

It may of been this one... http://bracket500.com/jds/jds2009.pdf

Thanks for the comments guys. Well, I'm not happy with the paint job so the body's going for a swim in the purple pond.

Hey Brad.... Let me know if you wanna borrow my Air Brush

Well, this one has stalled long enough. Its been stripped of the original paint and shot with Tamiya Fine White Primer, which has been sanded and hopefully this weekend it'll get the first layer of paint. I noticed its supposed to rain on Saturday so I may get delayed once again.

With a few good weather days, I was able to lay down a few coats of paint on this bad boy. I redid the decal colors so they would match the Hugger Orange of the body and printed them out on Testor's clear water slide decal paper. I'm in the process of raiding my decal stash for black pinstriping to lay down where the two colors meet. The nose piece will be a challenge with all of the curves and I'm hoping I won't have to go in with a fine black marker and do it by hand.

Here's where I'm at for the moment. DSC9 is next month so I gotta keep at it.

Thanks for looking in and for your patience. This is taking entirely too long. :)

Brad... this is just gorgeous bud and turned out great. I have to admit I like this paint scheme better than the solid orange you had before. Man this thing is sure sweet. Great Job on it!!
