bigphoto Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Hey gang, Did any kits come with a blown flathead? I am posting here before searching thru my stash!
bigphoto Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 I think the AMT '40 Ford had one. Cool I have a couple of those I will check there first!!
Longbox55 Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 The AMT '40 has a blown Nailhead Buick, the Flathead is stock only. To my knowledge, there are no Flathead S.C.o.T blowers in any kits, but I do beleive Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland may have them.
Joe Handley Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Not sure on a blown flathead, but the AMT '49 Merc has a flathead and they've added some nice hot rod goodies for it too!

W-409 Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Maybe you must scratchbuild the manifold and install the blower there. I'm having one Ford Pickup Gasser WIP, and it's going to have this powerplant.
pepperdrumstix Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 The supercharger in the AMT '57 Chevy kit looks almost like a SCoTT blower. You may check to see if you have one of those. Patrick M
LAone Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 dang mike, that pic just made my day. now i know how it should look like for my project. i googled, n came up with no clear shots of how the pulleys go. thanks again.

Patrick M That would require Chevys in my stash and there aren't many and that is not one of them...................LOL But thank you for the info I will check with some friends.
Ryan S. Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Bummer. Sorry about the misinfo. I built the AMT '40 in my youth and I was sure that I put a blown flattie in it...it's long gone now though. I might have put it on there anyway, regardless if was meant to go or not . Good luck in your search.
