One thing I want, is that what is said here and on other forums is read by industry people. Since Revell and Italeri share some of their 1:24 scale models, I wonder if they could "partner" again and co-develop some other kits and share the costs... It could take some of the "sting" out of the development costs. Of course this is just an idea... Moebius could go on with a pretty easy adaptation of a Prostar off the Lonestar kit... Even Trumpeter could surprise us, as far as I'm concerned!

Now, I get the idea behind manufacturers licensing designs. But, do they remember that models of their products is actual advertisement for them? I suppose they do... But I think this is getting a little out of hand nowadays. No name on new design tires? Cannot reproduce a truck name badge? The older kit parts are still being produced...Come on, charge a fee for your design and name, but be fair! Because of this, nobody can do anything new without giving out a pile of cash before even putting a pen down (or pushing buttons) for a new design. so they ponder, calculate and think it over and over and calculate again and nothing gets done or next to nothing. So with this in mind, which modern truck manufacturer would be kind enough, or just see the opportunity of their product being "advertized" in a different way? It's been done before. I know this thinking is a little simplistic, but I just wish somebody still has the guts to do something about this. So, after looking at this, I guess Moebius was pretty bold giving us the Lonestar. THANKS AGAIN Moebius, I hope you are successful with this kit. Please be bold again!

I think the next new truck kit that should come from Italeri should be a modern North American style reefer trailer. Keep it simple so Italeri can build upon this platform for future subjects. From this platforms a flatbed trailer can be offered. then a grain trailer for example. From past history, Italeri takes at least three years from announcement to actual on the shelves for a new kit, so anything that will expedite this process is helpful. Also, I would like to see Italeri welcome feedback from North American modelers during the development of the project, just as Moebius models did with the Lonestar kit. I want them to avoid the disaster that happened with the American 48 foot reefer kit.

Gotta love this! Beautiful, I'll buy 10 please... This would be Great... Dane, get it? Hahaha. That is a nice example of what we need and would look just dandy behind one of my Lonestars, ahem...when I build them.

It would be a low cost investment for them. Granted it's easier said than done but I think it's possible

Take this

And mold this

Obviously I'm looking at this from my own point of view but in the current economy that we live in the chances of Italeri or RoG investing in totally new tooling is quite slim.

Anthony, Italeri can make this easily, most of the molds are already there, they need what? The hood, the battery box tops and some hardware to relocate the front axle?

I hope it's in their plans. This is too easy to pass up. This would be a good subject to restart that American truck line, they could even interest the Australian with a right side steering option.

Another thing that bothers me (a little), is the fact that some models dissapear and seem to never return. Take the Italeri Freighliner FLD 120 aero. This kit is nowhere! This is one truck I still see all over the roads and I would love to replicate, I'd buy 3 or 4 of them right away, I've got an iteration idea for each one. Sorry, conventional fans, I just love the way this truck looks... :( They would look good against my Volvo VN. Talking about the Volvo, aren't those kits out of production? Yes they could have put an engine a transmission and a poseable steering axle, but why don't they do exactly that in the next revised issue of a nice VN780? You know, get the interest back into these. Never understood why this kit wasn't complete to start with. Again, these truck are all over our roads. I want to replicate what I see every day.

Seems like there are a lot of options missing from the poll, no IH's at all, no medium duty trucks, and no dozers under construction equipment. I'm not that familiar with many of the newer trucks listed, but aren't most over the road rather than construction / vocational trucks?

Really no construction related trailers (I'd like to see a bottom dump gravel trailer, preferably a pair of 28s for a tandem trailer set up), bulk liquid / gas trailers (lots of options here low pressure chemical MC307, corrosive liquid MC 312, high pressure chemical MC-331, cryogenic liquid MC-338), compressed gas tube trailers or a modern lowboy. Any of those would be nice to see.

I wouldn't object to any of the items in the poll but with the exception of a feller buncher nothing stands out from the rest.

I think the issue with the Volvo was cost, it was already $70-80 as a curbside. Personally I think another $10-15 for a motor would have been worthwhile even though I don't always leave the hood free to open. I haven't seen either of the Volvo VN kits recently, I'd like to get one myself but didn't get around to it before they vanished from the shelves, so I'd like to see them reissued (slight difference between Revell of Germany and Italeri?).

The feller buncher is actually one I'd like to see, don't ask me why, but I like offbeat stuff like that.

Feller bunchers remind me of the hunter killers in the Terminator movies. I had a pair of them assigned to me on a fire a few years ago, really cool to watch them work. They would make a neat lowboy load.

Finally I hear other people on here that agree, some nice modern trucks and trailers would be amazing!

"Highway" I think you have the right idea with a nice Classic XL, or Coronado I am just dreaming up some

ideas in my head of the potential of either kit. It is also good to hear that there are people out there that

are listening to what we have to say as well.

MACK Granite with some modern super single front tires!

Yep, absolutely and the Titan too... And while we're at it, why not put some optional stuff in the kits as well? You know, like AMT used to do with the GMC Astro and Chevy Titan, they had optional single or dual exhaust, two sets of chrome square tanks and plain drum type ones, the GMC once had optional grab handles and rear view mirrors and that turbine engine or the Detroit 8V-71, even high back or low back cab seats and a dragfoiler and optional cab clearance lights and horns! In the new kits, where applicable, I would like to see, get this, Optional WHEELS! Like a full set of 2 hole discs and a set of aluminum colored or chromed 10 holes, half back fenders or full, would a day cab panel as an option be a real big stretch on some kits? How about, like others mentioned here, a construction kit? Only construction preparing parts such as super singles with the rims, PTO's with the related bumper, hydraulic oil tanks. then maybe a straight truck body kits, like a dumper body, a tanker, a cement mixer, dual steer front axles with wheels and tires, lift axles, high traction drive tires... A little like Italeri does, but for North American trucks. The manufacturers probably already had a look at this... But guys, if you are reading this, I confirm that we want these! You will sell them. Thanks for looking! :D
