i have just been having a sort out.and i have a revell 1:25 Plymouth gtx.its got a black picture on the front, with yellow gtx decals.well as I've never really done much on models, apart from build from the box,and do a nice paint job,and add different wheels.ok on cars that i like, chargers, camaro, mustangs ect,but never took much of a liking to these 67's.

so what would you guys do with it? i would like to hear your ideas, how to make it look better.what wheels, paint scheme, interior ect would you use.

thanks,

rich

I have one somewhere in my stash, that I had planned to combine with the chassis from an AMT 69 Roadrunner Pro-Street. Never came to pass, as there were some differences between AMT's and Revell's take on what should have been an identical chassis, and I didn't feel comfortable enough in my skills to tackle it.

its a great kit and i think box stock would be nice aswell

now, if you want to spice it up there are plenty of ways to do it

i have one on the bench where in trying to replicate a hotwheels car

i scanned those yellow decals and turned them into marbled panels

then i painted the car duplicolour metallic black (with a german silver belt)

the interior on mine is red and the wheels are porsche

i wouldnt change anything on the engine , it comes with a nice set of headers and a great hemi

only one i have ever seen with a ALTERNATOR BRACKET

flat black with steelies and poverty caps ?

oh, and put straight pipes on it, make that hemi roar

satin black, gloss black wheels with chrome caps.black satin leather interior and the hemi? or high gloss black? its sounding good at this point but would luv to here more of your thoughts and ideas on this car.

Seems to me that if your going with those deep dish steelies a high gloss paint job would be mismatched.

If I were tobuild it I would keep the steelies and go with a flat black paintjob (ever seen the deathproof chevy?)

I know not everyone likes that "unfinished" look but I think it would work well with those times

(As a matter of fact, just mail me the kit and ill build it for you)

I built the one I had to replicate my Dads 66 1:1 ride.

Yes, The engine is the same.. :D

It depends on you how you like to build.

ProStreet, Stock, Custom, to Replicate one you saw somewhere.

Or all of the above :D

I built mine as a Hemi Belvedere II with a bench seat made from the kits buckets seats.

That's exactly the colour I would chose, too. Make mine a GTX with a green interior and an off-white vinyl roof. Maybe throw in a set of Torque Thrusts as the only non-stock parts.
