Well I finally finished this one. I did change a couple of things since last update. Made some new rocker panels, modified the rear bumper, made some decals. Enjoy and as always your comments are welcomed.

Very Nice! B) I like how you blended the 'Vette and the Cougar II together! Looks quite seamless!

Now if only Pontiac could've had something like this as a Corvette twin........................... ;)

It came out EXCEPTIONALLY nice! GREAT job on it. As Bill mentioned, you did a great job blending the two kits together! VERY nice build, VERY nice!!!!!

What's up with the fit of the hood??? If the hood is supposed to be closed in all your photos, you have some serious issues going on there!

Thanks everyone for your comments, And thanks Harry for pointing out the issue with the hood. The hood seem to fit fine during mock up, but apparently I did not allow enough clearance for paint around the mounting area of hood. If I keep opening and closing the hood it will work itself out eventually. Thanks John

Saw your WIP thread and have to say you have done an excellent job on your conversion. I remember seeing pics of the real car some time ago and looks spot on to me. Great work!!!!

This is really cool! I shouldn't be worried about the hood fit, mostly it will be with the hood open? Color looks good, and paintjob is smooth. Like the engine detailing, and interior looks good too. Those opened side windows are great idea, and they are done really nicely. I like the real thing too, something like Corvette, but it's a Pontiac. That should be different. I did enjoy following the WIP topic, and finished result looks good. Keep coming.

Nice conversion. Would I be right in assuming the same fate befell this as the F88, too much competition for the Corvette?

Thanks for your comment. You are correct on the fate of the F-88 it fell victim to the powers that may be at GM. But the concept survived and not destroyed, it sold a few years ago at Barrett- Jackson auction for close to 2 million I believe. So I thought it deserved to be built in plastic. It should be here in the under glass section if you want to see it, but I did post a couple of pictures here for you. And yes the hood does close all the way on this one, I dont remember why it was not closed in these pictues.

Very nice Banshee - from front to back clean built! Super!

I like the F-88 (?) too...that is really nice concept car. Was it a resin kit? Didn't see it before - also the Banshee

Thanks for your comment. Niether cars are resin. Both the Banshee and Olds F-88 were scratch built using different cars to create them. The Banshee was made from a 68 Corvette and a 63 cougar ll and using various parts from a 66 GTO (if you search in the workbench section you can find the WIP on this) and the F-88 was made from a 53 corvette (from the doors back) and a 57 corvette (front clip) using parts from a 66 old cutlass. Both use alot of scratch built parts. Thanks for looking
