While the washes dry, I turned my attention to getting the wiper marks on the windshield . . . always a fun task and one that really is old school but very effective . . .

It all leads to this anatomical break down of this build . . . (with lots of pieces still needing paint, weathering and detailing!)

Sean, good eye, yes, I still have to finish weathering and then I will tone the chrome down . . . in person you'd be able to see the chipping and pitting . . . I hit everything up with some dull coat and some rust stippling . . .

Stay tuned in for more progress soon . . . thanks for your comments.

I've been enjoying this one and that pipe rack looks like half the trucks around here. Can't wait to see all the junk that's gonna be thrown in there! :o

Rain here all day so I'm heading to the big city to find some of that acrylic paint you recommended in another thread. :)

Thanks buddy. Let me know if you had any trouble finding Floquil and or Vallejo Air Colors. I know MicroMark carries the Floquil colors . . .

Can I point out something funky about your sweep area, Doc?? The wipers would be flipping up on the roof. Wouldn't the wipers end up parallel with the sides of the windshield and then rest parallel with the bottom at the cowl for a 90 degree arc? Might be too late for the windshield on this one though.

Tony, by the time I realized it it was too late, but you are right . . . actually the final results (as you will see shortly) didn't turn out that bad . . . stay tuned in.

Thanks for the good eyes!

Thanks, Danno.

Here's some more progress. I started to weather the chassis . . . with AK-INTERACTIVE products, in this case adding a few drops of FUEL STAINS to the engine . . .
