Bigdad Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I found a picture on line the other day that I really like so I think I'm going to try to do a model of it. It has our finky friend in a deuce with Minnie Mouse and a very unhappy Micky running after them. I will be doing the car and figures in Sculpey. This is the picture, I will post a few progress pics when I get started.
Romell R Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I always knew Minny was a cheating little Hood Rat ! LOL! this should be a great project !
Nitrozilla Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Don't ask me why, but I'm okay with anything to do with Big Daddy Ed and his pals. We'll be watching and drooling. Rom, they always go for the bad boys. Good thing, too. lol
Dr. Cranky Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Very cool. I like it. Long Live The Rat Fink!
Bigdad Posted September 11, 2011 Author Posted September 11, 2011 I did my own version of the "Fink Eliminator" a couple of months ago I made the figure out of Sculpey. I'm a member of the Muncie modelers club and we had a theme for the August meeting. We were all going to build the same kit Revell's 62 Chevy Impala. I was not very happy about this choice so I did a little protest build. I think the Rat Fink is going to be a little bit more challenging though. This is Big Daddy's art This is my version
LAone Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) this is gonna be cool. i like that protest eliminator. thats a cool dio. Edited September 12, 2011 by LAone
Bigdad Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 Well my experiment worked the Sculpey body is started I made a Styrofoam mold for the body wrapped it in aluminum foil and put the Sculpey on the mold. I still have to sand it and add the details like the trim and fire wall but it's a start. I also have Rat Fink's head done here are some pictures.
LAone Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 oh! thats awesome, and its only the beginning...im liking this.

Bigdad Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) I have an update, I'm using parts from a 1/18 scale die cast Deuce that I've had for a long time I have all of the parts ready except for the 1/10 scale engine I still have to get from my LHS. The figures are all finished except for Rat Fink's hands and some sanding and painting. I'm using the frame, front end, interior, wind shield and front wheels from the die cast. I may use the radiator cowl and head lights too. I made some big slicks out of Sculpey and I'm working on the body now. I'll post some more pics tomorrow. Edited September 18, 2011 by Bigdad
Bigdad Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 Well here are the latest pictures it's coming together. I'm holding Mickie up for the pics. I still have to do a lot of sanding on the body.

Bigdad Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 I finally got the engine in the Fink's Deuce I have run out of Sculpey so I have to get some before I can finish Rat Fink and start painting the car body and figures. I had to stretch the frame to get the motor to fit but it looks pretty good in there. I will post some pictures tomorrow.
