RAT-T Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 HI JIM, I CAN BARELY MAKE OUT THE PARTS IN YOUR PICS. COULD YOU PUT THEM ON SOME COLORED PAPER, OR PRIME THEM IN DARK GREY?
crazyjim Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 Sorry, I'm not the greatest picture taker. I shot them against dark paper and they looked worse than with the light blue paper. I was afraid if I primed everything that I would be accused of trying to hide some details, so I left them bare. If you tell me the part(s) numbers you might be interested in, I could try and take better pics to send you. In the meantime, I've been trying to find a free website to use instead of Photobucket, am planning a major revamping of my packaging, deleting quite a few items, and adding a few more items. When I do that, I'll be taking fresh pics of everything - I might be buying a new camera for the new pics.
scalenut Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 yeah white parts on a light background ,, hard to make out the detail
crazyjim Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 I'll be looking for some darker paper. Black doesn't work - already tried it. Maybe a medium to dark gray? I'll see if Wal-Mart has anything tomorrow.
Chuck Most Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 The background might be okay if you did a blackwash on the raw parts to highlight the details. But in any case, some pretty cool stuff on your site!
Ry4ns302 Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 (edited) HOw do I place an order? I read the shipping details, I'm looking to send through paypal Edited September 22, 2011 by Ry4ns302
crazyjim Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 When you do Paypal it should send me the info along with your address. If you'd like, send me a PM or email with your address, part #, and quantity.
crazyjim Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 (edited) HOw do I place an order? I read the shipping details, I'm looking to send through paypal Ryan, I should have mentioned that I won't rip you off in postage. Let's say you want to order something relatively flat (air filter, valve cover, gas pedal, etc.) that would easily fit and ship in a normal business envelope. I wouldn't feel good charging $2.50 for postage when it could be mailed for $0.44. Better to PM or email me before you order so we can work it out. Edited September 22, 2011 by crazyjim
crazyjim Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 I took some pics and played with them in the Kodak software. Take a look. Better?
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 (edited) I will be the first to say this, anyone who buys from Crazy Jim, I was not disappointed in any way, and I believe you will not disappointed either I have bought from him, just last week, quality stuff, for us budget builders, and as you all know some clean up is a must for all resin parts, no rip off on postage, either, fast shipping, and I WILL BE BUYING FROM HIM AGAIN. Yes Jim those are good pictures of the seats, now if you can get the valve covers to show up the same, you will be rock-n-an-roll'in buddy, see you next month for some more goodies, thank you....... crazyjim Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 Thank you, Michael. I try to make some decent items at reasonable prices and not gouge people with excessive postage costs. I'm working on trying different options with the pics, Michael. I used the same background. Same camera. Same lighting. Took the pics within seconds of each other yet the seats came out darker. Makes no sense to me. Maybe I'll try the flash in the next go around. Casted a new carb that those AF4 velocity stacks should fit and 2 different velocity stacks that will fit the C4 with a little cutting and sanding. Watch your mail next week.
Psychographic Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I just got my order and I must say it was a pleasure to deal with Jim. The parts look great, came fast with very reasonable shipping costs. Jim also was extremely quick with returning e-mails. Now to put these parts to use! Thanks again.
Lownslow Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 where do we see pics of your stuff i, interested
eviltwincustoms Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Try using Cork board, the light brown/tan of the board will contract quite nicely against the white or light grey resin parts.
Psychographic Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 where do we see pics of your stuff i, interested Click on the "Crazy Scale Auto Parts" in his signature.
crazyjim Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 Yeah, just click on Crazy Scale Auto Parts. I've taken all new pics and am presently going through re-packaging everything. My wife created a website for me and plan to have it up and running in a couple of days.
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 OK,Crazy Jim, just got the second batch of velocity's, and to say the least, I am not yet disappointed, tho I did drop one, hit my fat belly, and vanished to nowhere, would of got them yesterday, but didn't check the mail, anyway, I have a gold set of carbs, they work perfect, but for some reason the same carb casted is still a hair to big but not to worry buddy, I will trim, to the lip line, and I'm sure they will fit, so I will probably be ordering carbs from you to.... People do not be dismayed by what I wrote, Jim is a great caster, quality craftsmanship, easy shipping, and fast to boot, give him a holler, it's well worth your dollar.... Did i just rhyme?
crazyjim Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Not yet disappointed? I sincerely hope that you'll never be disappointed in my parts. Have you thought about putting a screen or pantyhose over a vacuum hose and vacuuming the area around where the part dropped? Sometimes that works. I've completed new packaging; re-configured my display board; took new pics; dropped several items; fine tuning a website that my wife made; and just trying to get ready to launch the new deal.
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 (edited) Kewl beans, I cant wait to check it out, no I didnt do the panty hose thing, wasnt even on my mind, i just wanted to play, pop! hit the belly an ran for it, but i was able to hang on to the bigger ones, yeah the ones that have the real wide top, hehehehehehe.....
