Lotus 40 and a hello

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself as a Moderator. I enjoy this website immensely but am turned off at times by the bickering. Please PM me with any problems you may have as I am here to help , not harass.

Anywho, here's a 1/32 Strombecker Lotus 40 body I bought on eBay awhile ago for pennies. Although old, the body was in really good shape but not painted at all. I used Tamiya red if memory serves. The windshield was made out of plastic from a package.

Love those old Strombeckers, I have a box of some old slush cast resin bodies around somewhere that I may have to put some time into one of these days (Since SOMEONE got me hooked into these things,..... hint, hint, hint....)

That red looks just PERFECT on it! Nice job on the windshield too.

My Fiance gives me a hard time because I also save that type of packaging as well as a bunch of other things that people would normally throw out. She just doesn't seem to understand how handy "garbage" can be at times for us modelers!

And, a BIG thank you for offering to help out with our great bunch of guys and gals we have here! Unfortunately, as humans, we tend to get into little (and sometimes, not so little) "disputes" here and there, and people like you are MUCH appreciated!
