caine440 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Man Chuck you know me to well! That is out standing. If you ever want to sell a set of those decals I will be the first in line! I have a Demon sitting on the shelf right now waiting for me to pick the decals. I was hoping to find a set or have a set made to match Don Carlton's car.
Mooneyzs Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Chuck... That is just awesome. Man that paint and decal work look great!!
Bowtienutz Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 nice job chuck. I'd like to get in on those decals too if you decide to produce them
gasser59 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Very nice stuff Chuck. Did you do the artwork for these decals yourself? Now that you have an Alps, will you be kind enough to print others' decals?
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Very nice work on the body. Hope you keep it coming along.

I'd be there right with you Roger, for a set of those as well. Those look really good Chuck. Also, Slixx is supposed to be creating a set of decals for the Carlton Demon.
Fuel Coupe Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 put me in line for a set as well. GREAT JOB!!!
ratnasty Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 After getting the body paint done I had to see what this car would look like with tires and wheels on it . So i had a old builtup of a Sox & Martin chassis I threw under it and this is what I ended up with Chuck
Truck parts Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 CHUCK NICE JOB ON THE DECALS. PUT ME IN LINE ALSO
ratnasty Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 I'm trying to a hold of some decal paper from Papa Tango decals , as soon as I do I will try to print the decals with my Alps to seee if I can do it for some of you guys Chuck
iBorg Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I've often wondered why Billy The Kid has been ignored by decal makers. I'd prefer the Challenger, but this sure is a sweet piece.
catpack68 Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 looks great chuck.i would like to get in line for a set of those decals too i have always wanted to do that car.
Mister Twister Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Very impressive! The whole deal just pops.
rssschris Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I also would stand inline for a set of them decals. Let us know if you make them available. Chris Downs
ratnasty Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 Hi thanks alot guys I made the decals myself on my injet but I'm redrawing them so I can print them with my newly aquired Alps so the yellow on the car will be done in metallic gold Chuck
Evil Appetite Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Chuck..that's fantastic..can I ask a question about your process? How do you get the upper top of the decal to go along the contour of the body line. I've tried scanning the side of the body and working it out in PS..but that doesnt seem to work. I assume you do that in PS..and dont cut the decal after it's been laid out on the body.
Evil Appetite Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 (edited) It just occurred to me as I posted...maybe scanning a decal, selecting the outter edges and pasting the shape into a new document? hehe I apologize for all the questions. I've always wanted to do my own full body slixx-like decals, but certain aspects seem so intimidating Edited October 27, 2011 by Evil Appetite
