Chuck Most Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 Might take a break from the Matador for a bit- just means I'll have to blow the dust off the '61 Rambler or crack open the '59.
gray07 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Thanks for the compliments, iam not into it for some reason, so its going up for trade, lol
Casey Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 (edited) I'm in and will be building something similar to the AMX GT show car" Edited February 13, 2012 by Casey
Chuck Most Posted December 3, 2011 Author Posted December 3, 2011 Velcome aboard, Casey! I'd leave that body just the way it is and stuff all the go-fast stuff in it. In the first pic, the hood almost looks bare steel.
jeffs396 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I'm officially in: Cool! A 1/16 scale drag Jeep CJ...not something you see everyday Looks like some neat drivetrain parts Casey, can't wait to see it come together!
Chuck Most Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 Well, I'm a liar. I had the intention to take a break from the Matador and work on one of the Ramblers, but instead the big AMC ended up back on the bench for a few aero mods. First up was the chin spoiler... no idea what kit it is from, but it fit perfectly against the Matador's splash apron. I also added some spats to the wheel openings, they were made from .020" styrene, then trimmed and sanded to shape.
Chuck Most Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 I'd love to see somebody do a Jeep CJ Zinger. Too bad all Casey's Zinger parts are belong to me. Guess I might have to do it, then.
Chuck Most Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 This is kind of what I have in mind for the Rambler. The 2003 JoHan includes pointers and decals for converting it to an Ambassador, so I think that's the route I'll go on that one, with one extra step- I'll make it a hardtop as well.
Casey Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I'll make it a hardtop as well. Might as well go all the way and fix that funky kink in the roof, too. I think that yellow chin spoiler is from the Revell '69 Yenko "Hot Rod" version.
W-409 Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Here we go again, I built set of pedals. Since there's manual transmission, I took two dashboards, and they both had only gas and brake pedal. I cut those pedal parts seperate, and built new rods from metal tube. I think, they look pretty good, and much better than those original parts. Next I'm moving on to dashboard, it still doesn't look right.
Chuck Most Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Saw this in a junkard a few years ago. Project, anyone?
Chuck Most Posted January 19, 2012 Author Posted January 19, 2012 So when is that massive influx of Gremlins going to show up, I wonder?
