John Goschke Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Beautiful! Really great color combo with the interior and the stance is perfect.
Dominik Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Very cooool paint! Like the color! But....on this (and other) Pictures... ...there is a "heavy" difference with the bodycolor and the hood. Did you paint the hood the same way and position similar to the mounting position? It is important, if you take such a effect paint, that the bodyparts will be painted like there mounting position. Has to do with the light on the paint pigments ...Know what i mean? The hood in lying position, doors in standing position and so on... But, perhaps you can make a weathering on it
MachinistMark Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 i know. in person theres a difference but not as pronounced ....im planning to paint the hood again.
Eshaver Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I think ya did a great job. Now someone do a NON- Chopped top so I don't have to ................. Ed Shaver
scaleauto Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Were you at the meeting last night? I plan to enter the contest on the 29th. I work 8 - 2 but I will be there after I get off.

blue logger Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 looks good mark ..there is a little diff. in color from the hood & body that i can notice from the pics ...you should have this done by the weekend ehh ?? i started one fro next months meetin ..gonna try an get it finshed ..
MachinistMark Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 i should be able to fix the hood by givin it another light coat of blue and re-clearing, itll be a pain in the butt but oh well.
MachinistMark Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 as for it being done by sat, the way its going itll be done this afternoon!

John Goschke Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 That interior is awesome! Like it so much that I'm stealing that color combo for the interior of my '32 5-window!
MachinistMark Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 the beige is tamiyas spray lacquer "light sand" and the blue is justy the body colour sprayed over light sand base
MachinistMark Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 probably going to pick up another one of these tomorrow.
maltsr Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Looking great so far - I was hoping to be the first with blue, but you beat me to it! Mine is Tamiya Mica Blue, yet to be sanded before a second coat of clear.
MachinistMark Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 yours looks great paul! and truthfully, one of the blues i was kicking around for this one is a dead ringer for your shade!
MikeMc Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I love this one......I'm thinking Tamiya light blue pearl. The interior colors work well together...keeps it bright !
