Joe Handley Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Who else is geeking out on the van kits coming back? Sent from my phone in the back of a Chrysler Town & Country oddly enough.
disabled modeler Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Joe...I like vans too--factory stock, custom, camper,or window vans of the 60s to mid 70s body styles .
Rob Z Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I'm up for at least one more, I have the AFC Chevy and the Chevy trailer combo but, one or 2 more never hurts...
62rebel Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 i remember hitting K-Mart around 1987 or so when they were doing post-Christmas clearance and picking up A-Team vans and TJ Hooker cop cars for.... 25 cents each. true story. they looked at ME like i was the crazy one.... at one time i had eight built cop cars and ten or so vans in different schemes, so, YEAH, i'll be grabbing some vans.
Junkman Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 OK, OK, you got me. I'll get me a van and build it completely stock, dog dishes with bow ties and all. Paint it beige. Will signwrite it with Stolzfus's laundry service or sum such...
Keef Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Who else is geeking out on the van kits coming back? Sent from my phone in the back of a Chrysler Town & Country oddly enough. why is your phone posting on here under your name from the back of a van?
Casey Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 OK, OK, you got me. I'll get me a van and build it completely stock, dog dishes with bow ties and all. Paint it beige. Will signwrite it with Stolzfus's laundry service or sum such... If only we could get a similar era Bedford van, or if we're really dreaming, a late '70s Commer....drool.
Joe Handley Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 why is your phone posting on here under your name from the back of a van? I was trying to make fun of the Tapatalk app that announces what mobile device you're posting from as a sig line at the bottom of any post it's used for.
Chuck Most Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I was wondering about that. Now, if it had said 'Sent from a phone hog tied and stuffed in the trunk of a Chrysler Newport' I'd have wondered, 'So... why's the guy thinking of van kits being reissued?'
Joe Handley Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 Ooooooh, that's a good one Chuck, I may have to use that sometime!
Junkman Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 If only we could get a similar era Bedford van, or if we're really dreaming, a late '70s Commer....drool. One can always dream... The Parts Box in Oz makes quite a nice resin Bedford CA btw. I hope they reissue a Dodge Van too. I'd love to cut one up for a Dodge-Renault 50 build.
Eshaver Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 "RESPECT THE VAN " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
Tonioseven Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Me; ever since I built the "Matilda" Ford van. Vans are cool.
Hypermung Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 One can always dream... The Parts Box in Oz makes quite a nice resin Bedford CA btw. I hope they reissue a Dodge Van too. I'd love to cut one up for a Dodge-Renault 50 build. The Parts Box has LOTS of good stuff, but I guess you allready know that

Junkman Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 The Parts Box has LOTS of good stuff, but I guess you allready know that Yeah, I am a repeat customer.
