I'm going to be building a 65 Barracuda for a buddy who is restoring the real thing. The only kits I see are for Hemi Under Glass or similar mid-engine cars. Any ideas on how I could modify one to have the engine in front . . . as stock? Would a different chassis work?

Thanks.

Buying resin would be good idea, but for example, I just don't have enough money for it. Here's what I should do...

Buy Hemi Under Glass kit, or maybe only thing you need is only the body with grilles, bumbers etc. Then buy chassis from Dodge Dart, for example, as Michael said... Interior can be found from '69 Barracuda.... Well, if you buy those three complete kits, this gets so expensive, that Resin kit is better way. And it's easier way, but I haven't done things in easy way before, that's why I maybe think this hard solutions. But if you buy only Hemi Under Glass body, Dart chassis and Barracuda interior, you save some money and few bucks more, then you'll get an engine...

But as I said, easier way is to buy that resin kit, but that's just one way to do '65 Barracuda.

Jeff, couldn't you add the 65 peices to your 66 body to backdate it to a 65? The grille an tailights were the only things different if I recall correctly.

Yes they are but the interiors will swap and fit fairly good with minor work. The 64,65s are my favorites nice to see someone casting them Jeff. I can appreciate the differences in them too.

Gonna have to see them side by side, cause they sure don't look that different to me. Like I said, just the grilles, headlites an taillites. what else is diffeent?
