Ed, you did a great job on this build. I have a few of these kits and I would be very pleased if any of mine turn out nearly as good yours. Keep up the good work.

I finally got this one finished. If you notice some of the sponsor decals are changed from the earlier photos. I made startling surprise when I unmasked where I painted the silver bumpers, I shot a couple coats of clear on the body a few days earlier, when I pulled off the tape, only a few minutes after shooting the silver some of the sponsor decals came off with the tape. So after some major blessings, I scrambled some replacements and put them on and shot some more clear to blend it all out. Lesson learned, do all painting before applying decals. I’m going to the Lone Oak model show this weekend and see how it does, never been to this one before. Thanks for looking and following along, even though I took a really long time to finish it.DSCF0063.jpgDSCF0064.jpgDSCF0065.jpgDSCF0067.jpgDSCF0068.jpgDSCF0069.jpgDSCF0070.jpg

Buddy...I keep coming back to check this build out. I love it. I've said it before i know but the wiring is incredible! Very Romell-esq! hehe

I've only ever done basic wiring on these things. Did you use the usual schematics to wire this?

Ed, was skimming thru the pages & found this build, I must say it turned out great!, was wondering, did you make it to the model contest, if you did, how did she do? win anything, I'm guessing you did (unless Romell showed up ! LOL!)

Your '55 turned out incredible! The detail you put into it is really amazing. I, too, am curious how you did at the contest. She looks super, Ed.! I'm curious, what did you use for roll bar padding?

Thanks guys! I took it to two shows, one in Texas and the other one here in Louisiana, It took First Place in Drag Cars at both shows. I used the insulation off of 12 gauge electrical wire. I was lucky the insulation is soft rubber like and really compressed nicely under the 30 gauge wire I used to wrap around them.

Awesome job Ed and congrats. How about a few pics with the body on? Also, how did you display it for the judges; body on or off?

Congrats on taking 1st place in 2 shows!, & with a 1st time drag car!, also agree with Brad, wouldn't mind seeing some pics with the body on!

Thanks for all the complements fellas, really means so much coming from you all. As requested, I pullled this out of the case and shot some photos of it with the body on.

Ed.... that looks great with all of the body pieces on.

Kenny.... you need to talk to Charlie at Pro Tech. He has the best braided lines in the business. He is also a great guy to do business with too.
