On my Desk, I've got the new corvette with the C6 engine it. My father in law has a vette with a C5 as his daily driver. What would I need to convert in the model to make it a correct C5?

Just to clear things for you a little, C6 refers to the generation of the design of the car itself not the engine. So your father-in-laws car, being a C5, is a 5th generation Corvette. There are plenty of C5 kits out there so I am sure you can replicate his car with little fuss.

While it would probably be possible to fit the Revell C6 engine in the engine bay of the C5 kit it's not worth it. The Revell C5 kit is still very easy to find and I suspect would be very cheap on one of the auction sites. As for converting the body and interior, if that is what you're getting at, it would be impossible. The C5 & C6 have very different bodies and interiors.

The only problem you'd have locating a C5 is if you are looking for a Z06. I might be wrong, but I don't think they made a Z06 kit. Am I wrong?

You are right Patrick. Revell made the Commerative Edition Z06 which is blue with silver & red stripes. I have several of them. One for my collection and a few for parts.
