i asked this question inside other post but no answer maybe couse it was tucked away does anyone know where u can get something or how to make something that looks like d.o.t refective tape/decal that you see along side and on rear of semi trailers and long tri-axle trucks ?

Hmm...........that's a tough one. A Google search showed it to be alternating white/red. The red could be a transparent red over Bare Metal Foil but the white .............I'm gonna have to chew on that one a while.

The conspicuity tape offered by Line-O-Tape as mentioned is your best bet. I've used it in the past. OR you can use the real stuff. Use a straight edge and cut sections out to the scale you're working w/. 3M is thick. too thick for a model. Grote has some really thin conspicuity tape that would work well on a model however it's grey and red not white.

Something else I've used for trailer reflectors is this. Truklite has round paper thin reflectors. Peel the backing off and stick it on. I used a hole punch and it made perfect scale size reflectors for model trailers. Use the discarded part that is punched.

I think its a 3ft roll, I dont remember, when I ordered my roll from line o tape, he told he would mail the roll , and when I received it to then send a check, something that dose not happen very much anymore.
