Scalper Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 About to start painting the interior. Wife said black or grey. What do you guys think ?
Jim B Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Personally, I'd go tan & brown (because that's what I did); but it's really up to you.
Scalper Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 I was thinking the same tan or brown. Will have to check my paint stash.
Petetrucker07 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Either 1 will look good with the green. I did the KW I'm working on now green body with grey and black interior. The tan brown is a good idea too.
Scalper Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 Thanks Guys,,, Got some work done on her last night. going to work some more today. Got the front bumper together. I took A black sharpie against the edge of the lights trim. I think It looks more realistic that way. Also finished the rad and fan and all those bits that go with it .
Scalper Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 Also got some paint in the interior. Found a old testor's bottle of dark desert tan. after alot of mixing the paint went on ok. Tried to make the gas tanks look better aswell Bumper mounted. Also put the sleeper together.. that was a pain.. seems like the roof is bigger then then rest. Thanks for looking all comments welcomed
Scalper Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 Thanks. Question Would it be easier to put the wheels on first or the tanks and box steps?
Petetrucker07 Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 It's kinda of personal preference. I usually put the wheels on first so when I'm not work in on it I don't have to let it sit on block or on the tanks.
Scalper Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 Thanks Clayton .. I went ahead and monted the tanks and boxes. seemed easier with out the whells off. was able to put a pen under the tanks till they dried perfectly in place. Will post pictures later had no time this morning. thanks.
Scalper Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Here are some pics of my progress., next will be the interior and cab. All comments welcome.. thanks for looking.
Scalper Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 Got some more work done on the truck. Front Wheels on.. Rear Wheels assembled. Interior almost completed . Thanks for looking.
Scalper Posted February 13, 2015 Author Posted February 13, 2015 Did a test fit of the rear wheels and my fear has been put to ease. looks like the will be all even and straight. cheer

Old Buckaroo Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 This one is really starting to come together. I bet your getting really excited to see it looking like this.
Scalper Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Yeah getting excited for sure. It's huge compared to my cars. BMF on the cab nearly completed then doing the panel lines. Only wish I could make my own decals for the cab
Jim B Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 You've actually inspired me to finish mine. Thank you. What are you adding BMF to on the cab? I did the straps for the air cleaners & I'm planning on doing the trim around the doors.
Scalper Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Cook right on. You going to have to post a pic. Added BMF to the side vents. Window and door trim.
Jim B Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Andre, here is the link to my build thread. I don't want to post pics of my build in your thread.
