Last week I installed a temporary exhaust system so I can start shooting some paint in what is going to be my new hobbie room. So far I have finished one of the three projects I have left behind before I moved to my new home and I am on my way of clearing of the projects shelf so I can move on to new builds.

I will post pics of the finished projects very soon but meanwhile I wanted to share with you some pics of one the "in process" builds I want to finish by the end of the week.

This is a 1940 Ford that came home as a gift from my best friend Marcos Cruz.

I started on this one about 8 months ago and I had all parts prep for painting and boxed. Last friday I took them out of the box and started painting. So far I finished all painting on sunday afternoon, including the body wich will seat on the shelf for a week before I start polishing it out.

I decided to use different metalizer shades for the under body. Here are all the parts painted and buffed.

Here are a couple of pics of the interiors wich I decided to paint in Tamiya "Light Sand". I will detail them with BMF and put a couple of extra details here and there.

I will start the assembly tonight so I will be posting more pics as the build goes.

Haven't decide wich rims will go with it so I will welcome any suggestions.

Thanks for looking.

You are so detail oriented. Going good!

You can use some Donk wheels on that! Just kidding.

Some Hellas or some kind of Hallibrands will look good.

Hope to see this one coming along quickly man since I am so slow in the building department, good luck with it............

Yesterday I almost finished the chasis assembly. I only need to install the front brakes and two support plates to call it done.

WHAT is that thing behind the transmission that is sticking out? Is that a new kind of driveshaft? AND...WHY is it the same color as the interior ???

Don't worry craig, it is just an ordinary toothpic for holding it while I took the pics... :D:D

Hi Jaffa, I was working on a 63 and a 59 Impala before I moved to my new home, but since I had to remodel most of the house and had no place to paint it slowed me down. :(:(

Now I have a temporary "paint booth" so I decided to clear the old projects shelf while I get used to my new place and I am almost done.

I will soon post WIP pics of the impalas .

I already finished this one so I will post some pics later today when the sun comes out.

Thanks!!!!!!!

Thank you all for taking some time to follow up this build.

Finished yesterday night; the paint was wet sanded and polished with novus products. I added only BMF to the trim, windshield and dashboard.

This was a very fun box stock project and I am very happy with the results. Hope you like it...:(

That's a super clean build Luis! You can't go wrong with a '40 Ford! :D

It does feel great to get a build done even if it's box stock once in a while!
