DavidChampagne Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Found this on the internet years ago. Don't remember where or what the write up said. Looks like they started with Tyrrell F1 Six Wheeler, then, went crazy. Way way cool whoever this guy is.
Ben Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Looks like something in Speed Racers rear view mirror.
Dragline Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I admit to being a "Kit" builder. So these thing intriugue me always. I want to Expand my modeling. But I remain reticent. It's these types of builds that inspire me to go further, Bob Frias AKA: Kit builder
george 53 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I've seen kits like this on the bay,. They come from different Japanese cartoon series. Some of them are really neat, like this one!
Chuck Most Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I've actually seen a similar build to that- this one has more replica style markings on it though. The name of the kit/TV show it is from escapes me a the moment. Very cool.
Dr. Cranky Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 That DOES remind me of Speed Racer. The Japanese are making some very cool (and sometimes strange) kits.
Wayne Buck Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Looks like something in Speed Racers rear view mirror. ROFL! Now, that right there is funny! Pretty wild looking ride for sure. Normally I'm not into "crazy" stuff like this, but I think this one actually looks pretty sweet... I'd take it for a spin!
Danny Lectro Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 It's from an anime called "Future GPX Cyber Formula." I have one of the kits in my stash, and even wilder car called the "Spiegel." The driver lies flat inside the main body, and uses a Heads Up Display to see where she is going.
Chuck Most Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 ^That's the model I saw.^ Pink and everything. I thought it was in a recent issue of MCM, but it might have been the other mag.
