mikemodeler Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 definite improvement on the wheels and I like the overall appearance of this one! The colors are a nice departure from the usual red that is often seen on these, especially in the 1:1 world.
tyrone Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 (edited) Thanks fellas, I've been working on the interior and I have it all most wrapped up I added the window crank handles from the parts box, I added flocking to the floor board, still need to add the guage faces, seat belts, shifter, tach, and steering wheel... thanks for looking and comments welcome... I also painted the engine bay under the hood area, It's got some spots I'll need to fix though... Edited February 6, 2012 by tyrone
Modlbldr Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Man, that thing is looking good! I love the paint combo. Not often seen in 1/25th. Keep it up. I can't wait till it's done and you're back on the GMC. Later-
Guest Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Looks a lot better with the new wheels Tyrone! One suggestion I'll make is to paint the trim around the windshield and rear window black as those are rubber gaskets on the real trucks.
tyrone Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 10-4 Thanks Roger, I'll correct that, thanks for the tip...Thanks Tom...
Bartster Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Looks a lot better with the new wheels Tyrone! One suggestion I'll make is to paint the trim around the windshield and rear window black as those are rubber gaskets on the real trucks. Actually, the Cheyenne model did have chrome(or stainless) trim around the windshield & back glass.
thatz4u Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Nice little Chevy, really like it. Here's a Ford I built along the same lines...http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/115037-1961-f-100-restomod/
