mikelo Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Just a little something I threw together to look like a weekend(/street) racer. The chassis is from the Challenger TA kit. Thanks for looking.
hookedonplastics Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Nice build, Mike. What paint and color did you use?
Jim Kampmann Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Love the stance Mike. What wheels and tires did you use? Jim Kampmann
mikelo Posted May 18, 2007 Author Posted May 18, 2007 Thanks. The wheels are from the R/M 70 RR. The front tires are some older Monogram rubber Michelins while the rears are Monogram NASCAR tires. Hey Jim, just a question, are you in any way related to the company called Good Stuff? Thanks again,
Jim Kampmann Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 As Sideshow Bob once said, "Guilty as charged." Hey, do you have any more photos of that pickup on your Avatar? Looks really cool! Jim Kampmann
mikelo Posted May 18, 2007 Author Posted May 18, 2007 Well glad to virtually meet you. I am in the same club as Tom Dillion. I am sure he would love to say hi. The avatar is modified from a drawing done by Eric Brockmeyer. We went to school together and are still in touch. He is selling prints of this one on his web site in the store section. Great guy, and if the name doesn't ring any bells, check out his website. http://www.brockmeyerdesign.com/
cruz Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Love everything about it, from the rims and tires chosen to the correct stance, very very cool 8) 8)
mikelo Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 I just found out that the 29 rod in my avatar is available now on a t-shirt from American Racing and is on thier website.
6bblbird Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 I can't believe that started out as a Revell 'cuda. You turned it into "jewelery"! Nice! WF
Gary66 Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I like it! The car has a sinister "stealthy" look to it.
Darin Bastedo Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 OH HECK YEAH!!!! that is cool. I love the look of that.
Kris Morgan Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Nice job. Very clean build. The stance is spot on, very sisister looking.
