For anybody with Netflix the movie Senna is now available. After watching this movie you will not like Jackie Stewart and especially Alain Prost. It's an interesting in depth look at the man that was one of the greatest drivers ever.

Excellent documentary...bought the DVD a few months ago, saw it in the theatre a couple months back..though I wish they had included more on the '92-93 seasons like the '93 Donnington race.

On a modeling level, I do want to build my 1:20th Senna Lotuses, McLarens, and Williams kits eventually...

Fabulous movie. Saw it in the theater, but they had a print that didn't have English translation (not good, since half the movie is in Brazilian Portuguese). They gave the audience free passes because of that, then they got the English version. I got a DVD that apparently is a Japanese pirate version with bad English. I'd love to hear how the official English version works. This is a one-of-a-kind documentary.

One point to note: Most of the footage is from TV coverage, so you get a lot of horizontal lines on the big movie screen. Looks much better on your TV but lacks the incredible audio and presence of being there.

PS: I didn't think Jackie Stewart was all that bad, and though Alain Prost seemed something of a villain, you need to stick around to the end of the titles to see that really isn't so. He was tremendously affected by Senna's death, and is now the administrator of Senna's memorial charity.

Watched it last night with my wife. She's not interested in anything related to automobiles, but even she gave this the 'thumbs up'. As for Alain Prost, I came away with a different perspective than this thread's original poster, I just saw him and Ayrton as intense competitors and in the end even they seemed to see it that way. Alain is even listed as a Trustee of the Ayrton Senna Foundation in the closing screen text. Tragic loss, but those guys leave nothing on the table when they race. Thanks for the tip on the movie, it was a great way to wrap up the weekend.

What a phenomenal movie. I drove 3 hours to see it this summer. My girlfriend tagged along. She's never heard of F1 and she loved it. Thanks for the tip. I can't wait to watch it. Twice.

I've seen it 3 times..first time streamed a Turkish version off the internet, then the UK DVD, then in a local theatre..saw it w/ my sister who is a 45+yr F1 fan and a Senna fan(atic)....we really enjoyed it. Plan to get the US Blu Ray version eventually once it becomes available.

I can't understand why this film still is not available in a US (Region 1) version, and no plans have been announced for one. However, the Region 2 versions such as for the UK should be playable on most computer DVD drives, but not on normal DVD players. I have a few European DVDs that work fine on my computer but can't be played on my DVD.

I have a multi-region Phillips DVD player, so the Region 2 DVD plays fine...my Blu-Ray player is US only, though...hope there is a US Blu Ray release.

yeah I've watched it too. I had a chance to see it before but I wanted to wait until it came out on BluRay in the US in the special edition package. I watched it on Netflix though and LOVED that version. I just can even describe it. For those who know me, you know what Senna means to me.

My buddy saw it in theaters and he said it's the first movie he went to where more dudes were crying than women lol
