disabled modeler
For me the Chevy will be a must have item...been wanting to build a retro 70s custom van for awhile...COOL!
randx0
I hope they also open up all the gates on the tooling so you can build more than one version
62rebel
cosmic.... will they include the ability to build the Chevy as a window van again? that would unfortunately render my revised A-Team van moot null and void.... not necessarily a bad thing considering how poorly i've done on it so far. my80malibu
Whats with the Dirty Donnie Van, May not be appropiate for younger children? I still like both of them I have been wanting the chevy van for a while now.

I still like both of them I have been wanting the chevy van for a while now. Apparently, he's a mural painter...looks like a neat issue of the van, has a choice of '70s style mural decals for the sides.
Edsel-Dan
I seriously Doubt AMT will return the Passenger Seats & window side inserts to the Chevy van kit. They long ago altered the Body tool by making the Cargo panels a part of the body and no longer separate pieces. They also filled in the rear door windows, which in most states is Illegal! I Would LOVE for them to replace ALL the old options (Passenger van, Fire/Rescue, Police, Ambulance, Open Road Mini-Motor Home, etc, But I don't think they will. Drago
What about the A-Team van??? No news????
Joe Handley
The Chevy van IS the A-team van. Maybe they'll keep the '80's GMC grille and bumpers etc. in as options. This, if they back dated the body on the kit though the license plate will back in the driver side rear door, the trim will more like that gen's trim (hopefully they left it off all together! I asked at the show yesterday if the 80's-early 90's grill and '78-'95 bumpers were still in the kit, but they guy I asked wasn't sure if they were still going to be in there. Dr. Cranky
Very exciting. Model Round Up already has it as a January 2012 release and they have a copy of the decal sheet. I can't wait. This is one of the new kits I am making lots of shelf space for! Any other sightings? Dr. Cranky
Lol! Welcome to the club, although I'm sure the kit will be okay to build too!

Rob Hall
Well, most every month this year has been at least 1-2 or more new Revell kits for me, but January is definitely going to be an AMT month...the van, Myers Manx, Gremlin..got to do some preorders. 1972coronet
I hope that this excellent kit includes all of the factory-stock parts (plain steel wheels & hubcaps) as well as the restoration of all of the exterior lighting (ambre for the front and red for the rear) . Eshaver
John, I agree with ya , stock parts are a must cause all vans of the era were sometimes service vehicles too. Shoot, I sold just as many aftermarket pieces to reades people as i did the van shop people in the seventies ............... Rob Hall
Hopefully the stock parts are there..perfect to build a worn work van or serial killer-type van (that's what these blind box style vans make me think of). scalenut
being this is a "custom van"... I don't hold high hopes for a stock accurate , full of stock parts, with re-installed proper lights and indicators
disabled modeler
With the retro 70s decals whats not to like other than I don't have one or two of them yet I wish they would do the early 70s Dodge vans
1972coronet
Yes , Dodge vans and Econoline vans would be welcome as well ! Of course , all stock parts should be included ( I never realised that the "Matilda" van had factory-stock parts in it ! ). BTW , I never understood how the custom exhaust *worked* on the old AMT Chevy van kits ! I recognise the side pipes ; however , no headers or downpipes = how the heck is the custom exhaust connected ???

I just assume they weren't connected...just for show like the side pipes on '50s customs often were.
