SuperStockAndy Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Yes, it can: That in no way is done with natural force.
Junkman Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 That in no way is done with natural force. Sure not. It involves a great deal of distorting the space/time vortex.
Junkman Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 the arguement that imports can't pull wheelie's, holds no "water" You will never believe this, but disintegrating gearboxes are not unheard of on these shores either.
SuperStockAndy Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 the arguement that imports can't pull wheelie's, holds no "water" That thing's got no weight in the front, what do you expect?
moparmagiclives Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 There would be more, but they only built 2 rear wheel drive models.....EVER
moparmagiclives Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Turbos man, turbos. You dont think that firebird is boosted ? I dont know man,
SuperStockAndy Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 I've seen plenty of naturally aspirated V8s with NO power adders doing good wheelies.
whale392 Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) Remember, you can't teach logic to a kid. 60's Chevies never had that problem; they would sling rods first! Edited December 28, 2011 by whale392

moparmagiclives Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 I've seen plenty of naturally aspirated V8s with NO power adders doing good wheelies. I think the problem is, you've seen too many my friend.
slantasaurus Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 I've seen plenty of naturally aspirated V8s with NO power adders doing good wheelies. Yeah, just go to the US Nats for the Hemi Shootout to see some real wheelstanding with no power adders. Look ma....no scattered T-flight !!!!
SuperStockAndy Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 ^^Thanks Ron. Now it's safe to say TORQUE!
Eshaver Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Don't you Old Chrysler restorers , ( Uh Fluid Drive , Gyromatic guys) wish that those transmissions were near as good ? Ed Shaver
kenb Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Chrysler came out with a fix for the transmission in the high torque cars. You can see it here Ken
Joe Handley Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Remember, you can't teach logic to a kid. 60's Chevies never had that problem; they would sling rods first! Probably had severe traction issues too if it also was a X frame car.
SuperStockAndy Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Indeed. There's a video of an old Impala doing a wheelie, that thing was twisted BADLY.
Tony T Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) That's a Mustang doing the wheelie... I guess the caption should read Civic...S2000 being rear-drive. Edited December 28, 2011 by Tony T
moparmagiclives Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 That's a Mustang doing the wheelie... I guess the caption should read Civic...S2000 being rear-drive. If thats the case, the caption should read " RWD"....it has nothing to do with torque if your camparing two totaly diff drivetrains
Mr. Moparman Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Yeah the coyote being a 'stang, and the Roadrunner being a Plymouth, well, the 'stangs gonna lose.
Rob McKee Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 The new 5.0L engine in the Mustang is code named Coyote.
scale trucker Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 junk.they allready have severe head failure..and dont compare to the new 6.1 hemi
moparmagiclives Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 back in the day when the import thing was just starting to ramp up the goal of most Honda and Civic guys was to be able to beat a Mustang. i'd always ask those guys why did they set thier goal/standard so low? so what, you can beat a Mustang really i think it was a low standard and easy to acheive goal, most 5.0's were running 14's which isn't very fast or quick at all. then the Fast and Furious thing hit and everyone and their mommy had a 10 second car and Nawzzzzzz! it was laughable then and it's still laughable today. there will always be the imports vs. domestics battle the coyote will always chase the roadrunner Tom will always want to eat Jerry blah, blah, blah Ford even beat the mustang with an import hahaa...and the SHO didnt even have to run a power adder...since that seems to ba a problem
