Dr. Cranky Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 Jamie, we all start somewhere. Don't feel pressured to share pictures. Do so when you feel ready. Remember, no stress, no frets, no frustrations.
customcreator Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Remember, no stress, no frets, no frustrations. Heh, you don't know me very well then..... lol I am having fun already though......
Tony-442 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 The entire body of this build is copper foil and copper wire. You can see the shaping I got on the rear guards. The flare is part of the same pieceof metal. Okay, this one is fairly rough for obvious reasons, but you get the ... AAAARGGGG a Zombie!!!! I really like this... well done... Look like it's been threw hell. Tony
wgflatliner Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I am poking around with this a little more. I got the Utah shaped hatch cut out. I will be hinging it like a door in a house so it will be able to be opened and closed. This means I need to put a lip on the inside of the hole I cut out and figure out if I want the hatch to open all the way flat or make the hatch open at about a 100 degree angle like a seat back, and the interior side of the hatch door to have a cushion. I am also tinkering with a design for the slits in the windows that will have a mesh to replace the areas cut out. Not much progress but here is a pic of where I stand on this.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 Mark, those modifications are looking real good. Can you tell me where you got that file set in the background. I'd like to get a set like that, nice and wide and flat. Micro Mark? or some place else?
Hippie Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 wow eveyones looks great man, hopefuly im right, but i think the files are from habber fright, i got a similar set. but mark will be able to answer better
Dr. Cranky Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 We don't have a Harbor Freight in town that I know of, but I will look for one, or on line. Thanks, Erik.
blazefox Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 uploading ROAD RAGE later. Never ending question wat color. One semi is black one is rusty brown. Doc plz guide me to a good color scheme. I need ur expertesse
Dr. Cranky Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 Steven, the first thing I recommend is get yourself some plastic spoons and start trying out some color combos. Solid or camo, that's going to be a tough decision. I am struggling with it right now with SNIPER, but relax and have fun with hit. Try out some contrasting colors, say red on black, or sand/tan on blue or green. The other thing you can do is get some crayons or color pencils and try out different camo combinations, etc . . . Look through Google for ideas . . . good luck, buddy, but you know choosing the paint always looks a lot tougher than it actually is.
h3ae86 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 (edited) Every convoy needs a tender to carry supplies, tools, and equipment. This one will be armed and armored, so let's call it the TENDERIZER! What did you use for those tanks? it almost looks like oil filters to me. Edited February 2, 2012 by h3ae86
Kit Basher Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 What did you use for those tanks? it almost looks like oil filters to me. Plumbing fittings!
wgflatliner Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Thanks Virgil. I just got the other windows done with the exception of the windshield. I got my files from harbor freight. There should be 12 files, everything from flat to tapered to triangle to half rounds to full rounds. Overall not a bad deal.
blazefox Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 so thats road rage wat u think not bad for two days
wgflatliner Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Getting the mesh in the windows. Road rage looks good so far Steven!

Rick Schmidt Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Well I'm ready . Yall aint gonna catch me and steal my fuel. Got a Bown Cammer under... um through the hood lifted the suspension so I can go off the road runnin and if ya get too close behind or beside me you'll find out just what that Air cannon has in those double barrels. Stole the Engine from a lil mixer kit cut the hole in the hood myself wasn't as hard as I thought. Added headlights in where the grille is missing and swapped on the custom tail end. the inside is the kit tub and dash but swapped to rhd ... just for S&G lol. Has a rollbar over the driver seat The scoop on the rear window is for airflow into the cockpit. The Air cannon is from the Ecto 1 and I have a couple of barrels and a tank in the rear for fuel
blazefox Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 blaze....the semi is look'n good...specially the bumper and the pickup bed looks great on there tooo.... the truck is gonna have a staurt tank turret up top too
