That's awesome... I love the low lines, yet sitting up on big tires... Gonna look sweet when done!

Thanks - that is just the hole idea with this build to ge a little different look while still having those big rims/tires on it.

Thanks

Wow I've just hit the zombie vehicle mother lode! Is it too late to join the fun?

Nope, several months left on this. Virgil, considering the popularity of this CBP, and how very far behind I am with my build   perhaps we should nix the end date altogether.

That's great news, thanks :)

Here's some wips ( that I've already posted over in the truck section).

I think this pretty girl is going to get in the action some where too!

David G. could you please repost your pictures. They are flipped and a bit blurry. I would like to use them in the next video. Also, I could not copy them for some reason.

Please try again.

Everyone is doing a fantastic job. I have never seen this many different models.

Well project Viper is done and here she is. Makes a great zombie killer

I mixed my own custom red post apocaolypse dust color and sprayed the bottom of the car, the wheels, wheel wells, front and rear, and along the bottom. I then reduced air pressure and paint flow to give the car a general dusting of the red color. Hope its suitable for the convoy

That truck is fabulous, John. I like how it looks like an ex-custom car that got converted, and still has it's pre-apocolypse paintjob. The racks remind me of the cargo bins on tanks.

Cheers Jason, exactly the look I was going for :)

Btw, the cargo bins are from dark world creations, I'm not sure if they're listed on the website yet - I picked these up from a show.

So, I finally found the tires to use. Brought my Dad's Payhauler cornbinder dump truck and froze it before tearing it apart. So I am going to make molds of the tires and wheels and rear axles to use on my rig. I am going to change the tread pattern a little and see if I can fill the center section of the tire to fit regular truck wheels. This may take beyond our alloted time but I will keep posting as it gets more dome. They are pretty big but I figure madmax/post appoc means using what ever you got so this will be pretty bad ass.

ZOMBIES-ZOMBIES-ZOMBIES

And now for your viewing pleasure, a picture from another world.

I love that!!! That is so dang funny!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you should keep this open indefinitely Virgil. I think the genre keeps popping up and people show interest. The new Mad Max: Fury Road film coming up will stir interest yet again. And as long as there are zombie movies and TV shows people will build vehicles to crush them.

Just my $.02

Time for a small update. Progress is slow the 15 hour days at work get in the way.

I have been having fits trying to think of a good way to make the ammo chute/belt. Any ideas?

Maybe notching a strip of styrene, then sticking it to the backside of smooth painters or scotch tape, then snapping it like a candy bar to break the segments and give it flexibility. It works in my head.
