05 Chevy Impala Virginia State Police

Well this is my second (first one was a waste of $20 and went wrong..tried to rush it) model in about 15 years. So i took my time on this one and still have alot to learn.

Used rattle cans and applied clear gloss after pic was taken. I've had 2 mistakes so far so i know this one would never end up in a show .

Hopefully i got the colors right. I've had this out for about 2 weeks now. VR Earle

Earle , I would say ya done good . The state police here round Richmond generally use the Ford Crown Victorias . Some use the Chargers now too. Generally , the Impallas saw wide useage in the Virginia Beach and surrounding areas off I-64. Ed Shaver

Just waiting for decals now. I got the tail lights the way i wanted them to look and repainted the rims since the factory blk didn't look so good on it.

Got a few coats of clear coat on it so far also. VR Earle

Thanks, i have 2 of these kits and since i spent so much time up at Ft Lee i thought i'd do one. And i really like the color scheme. I had to use photos from the net to make sure i at least got it 90% correct. VR Earle

Thanks guys....applied the decals.. One "Police" is off alittle bit becasue it set real quick and i din't want to risk messing it up more. I used MicroSol to apply it but it locked onto the clearcoat and i couldn't move it anymore (kinda scary's me for longer decals).

The decals for the trunk where to large so i used a set of 1/43rd. Looks like they fit just right on there.

Just found the right lightbar (thank you lindberg extra lightbars) that i want to use and hopefully will be able to post in under glass.

Nice build-up.I've been thinking about getting this kit and making the impala cop car in GTA IV for my friends birthday in september(He's a really big gamer).I just can't find any decals of the car from GTA IV.

Good job Sarge. The colors look spot on.

A tip if I may, You can move decals easily before Micro Sol by flooding the area with water. Blot them into place with a Qtip, then apply Micro Sol. Then NO NO DONT TOUCH!

That's cool I have 2 of these ,I want to build a stock and copie of a local Greene county sheriff car if I can get the decals.
