Harry P. Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Remember: Don't post any hints or answers here. PM me with year, make and model. The answer: 1899 Columbia Landaulet (electric)
Dr. Cranky Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Nice one, Harry . . . that thing has more beautiful design on it than half of the latter part of the 20th Century vehicles!
jaymcminn Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Hmm, gloss black with lots of red pinstriping... it's Victorian Batman's Bat-Buggy!
Sixties Sam Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Looks like the definition of the term "horseless carriage"! Are you sure that isn't a stagecoach minus its horses? I have no idea! Sam
Harry P. Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 Looks like the definition of the term "horseless carriage"! Are you sure that isn't a stagecoach minus its horses? I have no idea! Sam Stagecoaches don't have steering wheels...

Harry P. Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 The car is an 1899 Columbia (the same Columbia that makes bicycles) Landaulet electric car. Check out these photos... it's a pretty cool car! http://barchetta.mediacenter.studioline.net/-/Events-by-Year/2010-2019/2011/Auction/RM/Monterey/Day-I-August-19th/Lot-131-c-1899-Columbia-Electric-Landaulet/?Dir=1989807 Who got it right: NitroNeal sjordan2 MikeMc PatRedmond mr moto trogdor my66s55 Johnny ChrisR mr chips Badluck 13 bigphoto
62rebel Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 i was thrown by the actual steering wheel instead of the typical-for-the-time tiller steering... i was looking a decade later and found Riker and kreuzer electrics.... i knew it had to be electric because of the huge (relatively) rear hubs, which must contain motors. it's certainly a pretty thing....
MikeMc Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I saw the name on it before Harry PS'd it off......
