X2 on the Red, perhaps a deep Candy Red B)

Trust me, that paint looks incredible in person!

Always liked Candy Red... :)

Nahhhhh... Didja ever see the movie "Corvette Summer"? You don't wanna go there.

Don't want to be too bold because the car is already bold enough. Ordinarily I'd love a burnt cinnamon metallic or orange pearl, but I'm not so sure on this car. You can combine classic Cord colors with Classic Corvette colors: Silver and Marlboro Maroon, maybe. Maybe black and silver or black and green?

Thanks for your suggestions Ken!

It's looking good! I like how you're fine-tuning the body with the small filler panels and such. I like the vent placement and the split Cord Windshield will look awesome!

Thanks Chris, Glad you like it !

Ira,

Glad to hear that you are using the cord windshield. I think it fits the lines of the corvette.

Looking forward to seeing more progress on this one.

Ira,

How about a blue pearl or metallic? Maybe stripes like the grandsport corvette.

Now there's a thought. When I was about 13-14 or so a friend of mine inspred me to enter one of my cars into the Revell National contest. I won my class (regionals) with a highly detailed version of the STW Willys Drag machine. He entered in the custom class and won. Mine was detailed in a way most weren't back then (circa 1964), but his had a candy red paint on it that put mine to shame. It was deep and gorgeous. But a really good candy paint on a model is hard to do...as I later found out..because it has to be even all the way through and in every corner and cranny.

Your Cordvette would be phenomenol (sp?) in a candy red. Just plain phenomenol (again, sp?)!

Wow wow wow we're anxious waiting for more of this one of a kind creation. Keep up the great job :)

Thanks Wilbert!

Now that the CAR-TOONS CONTEST is Finished I can get back to the CordVette!

WHERE'S THE ENGINE???

The Original Plan was to put a Spare Tire in the Rear Window Area, that looked OK....

Then I thought about an Engine for the CordVette...Time to use some Ferrari Parts! Like Big 12 Cylinder Engine!!!

It's a Lot of Engine, but it Fits in there Just Right!

Ira, that is pure COOL! Love the Italian power plant. Plenty of glass to view it through as well. Excellent choice. Maybe some Ferrari wire wheels to tie it in?
