Pete J. Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Holy (instert your own explative)!!! Nobody that I know of saw this comming. http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=12047 I have been waiting for 10 years for this thing to show up as an assembly kit. Down side - $610 but that is not any worse than some of the small resin shops and I would bet that this puppy is a much better build. I'm first in line! Who's behind me. Pete
High octane Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 At that price Pete, you may get lonely in that line to buy it.
Pete J. Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 You might be right, but then I spent more than that on the 935 with the SMS kit so it doesn't look like a bad buy, especially if you can get a discount like most large scale models.
Romell R Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 you know Ive been wanting to start my ferrari collection and I think I'll kick it off with this baby.

Pete Agree....when I saw the pictures from the Nuremberg Toy Fair, I thought it was the semi-assembled version, but looking a little deeper, it was a pleasant and welcomed surprise. Great Models Webstore already has it listed for a little over $400.00 ($200.00 under list).... http://www.greatmodels.com/~smartcart/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=TAM12047 Says it is due out in May and is available for pre-order
The Creative Explorer Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Id defanitly be willing to pay 300.00 for one! Same here, but not 610
Dragline Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I'd also be on board for one. If there is an active buy going I'd like to be a part of it. Bob
Dave Van Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 That $100 mark is hard for me to cross......the $500 mark will not be crossed! Looks cool!
Rob Hall Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Interesting...too pricey for me. Now if it were a 330p or 512 priced similar to their Lola T-70, I'd be interested..
Ghostmech Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Hobby Link Japan has a pre-order special of $308.68US going right now...... http://www.hlj.com/product/tam12047
The Creative Explorer Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I noticed it, very, very interesting, I think I put me one down.
Austin T Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 After I got off of the floor and back into my chair I had to pick up my jaw off the ground from seeing that price tag!I agree that 308 is a great steal for the kit but the most expensive kit I have bought would be my mad max interceptor for 30 bucks!
1zebra3 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I'd have to agree with Dave Van and Austin T the most I ever spent on 1 kit is like 70.00 + change + shipping off the bay. Its ok if you guys build the large scale and can afford them, to each his own. I have been looking for this car in 1/24 at resonable price, ( although I really don't build foreign cars )hopefully this weekend at the swapmeet and contest here in Omaha. If anyone lives close you should come.

If anyone lives close you should come. If you want an Enzo in 1:24 scale, get the Tamiya one. Much nicer build than the revell. Also a lot more detailed. If you can find it the SMS detail set adds a lot to it. They are $38 from Hobby link, so you should be able to find one for less than $40 on some vendors table. By the way, GBR!!
ValvEasy Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Hobby Link Japan has a pre-order special of $308.68US going right now...... http://www.hlj.com/product/tam12047 Done and DONE!

So what are you going to do when SMS or someone else puts out a nice detail set for this 1/12 Enzo? I certainly hope somebody is gearing up to do just that. BTW, I have the 935 with the SMS super detail set too.
Cato Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Hobby Link Japan has a pre-order special of $308.68US going right now...... http://www.hlj.com/product/tam12047 Yes I saw that ad just today; it's actually $288+shipping. Very tempting. But I had read on other boards some negative comments about either this "Hobby Link Japan" or "Hobby Linc". Can't remember which but the comments were the usual- too long or no delivery, no replies to emails or calls, high ship rates. I'm hesitant to order because of what I'd seen. It wasn't very recent maybe 6 months to a year ago. Does anyone have feedback on these two similarly named retailers??

The Creative Explorer Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Actually it says $288. It depends a bit on the exchange rate, at the moment the Dollar is getting stronger, therefore the Yen is cheaper.

I've been dealing with Hobby Link Japan now for years and never had an issue with them. Yes, sometimes the deliveries take a while but in the case of a furture release that is to be expected as they are at the mercy of the supplier. They have always treated me fairly. I am also pleased to see that they have taken the "stop sell" off of the Enzo. That tells me that they are confidant they will be able to supply all the orders that they have.
Cato Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Anyone know if kit #12047 (the full assemble-it-yourself model) comes pre-painted red? I think I'd like to do a fly yellow or black but hate to strip a pre-painted finish...
