MPG estimates vs. reality

Recommended Posts

This was taken upon my arrival at my office this morning. I drove to the station gassed up and reset the meter. I drove a few miles on surface streets then right at 19 miles on the freeway to work.
Not bad for an '05 Land Yacht. Speed was set by cruise at 72mph. The speed limit is 65mph.

This is from www.fueleconomy.gov the 31.1 is what actual owners report averaging. The 28 combined listed below is also what we list on the Scion website as well.

On my 2013 FR-S I avg 30.3 since my last oil change. This appears to be consistant for other owners as well. It is nice to get better than expected or promised.
